I know how to swim too but a life jacket still comes in handy if there is an emergency while out on a lake or ocean, especially if the water is choppy. It's also helpful for an older dog that might tire before they can get back to shore or the boat. I imagine it could extend playtime a bit too.

Exactly. My dog wore this to the beach and the bigger dogs kicked sand in his face because of his ugly life vest.

Craigslist or on one of the Facebook rescue groups in your county. I was on the Tampa one and just got our big baby on Friday.
