Ridgid Octane 3 Ah + 6 Ah battery combo, Home Depot, $99, Extreme YMMV

My local HD (Marana, AZ) had a couple of sets of Ridgid Octane 3 Ah + 6 Ah battery pack combos on the tools clearance end cap for $99. I don't know what the regular price is because this set does not appear on the HD USA website. I was able to lookup the part number on the HD.ca website, where it is listed at $199 in Canadian dollars.

As such, Brickseek is useless. You'll have to swing by your store to check availability. (remember, never call Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) ). Ridgid part number is AC80688.

Deal URL is for reference only. Happy hunting!

As a reminder, batteries purchased outside of a kit are not subject to the LSA

I just bought a battery kit with 2x 3ah octabe batteries charger and a bag that are eligible for LSA for $100. Debating whether the LSA and charger are worth more that the 6ah.

edit: assuming I could find this set. lol

Personally, I'd consider (3Ah Octane x2 + Charger ) LSA + Bag > 3Ah + 6Ah

Seems crazy that they're asking 220 for the 2x 3Ah Octane starter kit when I was able to get the 1x 3Ah, 1x 6Ah Octane starter kit last year (May 2019) for 180. It's nice to have the choice between one big battery and one smaller battery for a task. But there's no reason to buy Ridgid unless you are buying something LSA-compatible. That's the whole point.
