Can't comment on other brands, but Eufy is well known company. I bought these for this same price in Sept. 2017 and they are still going strong. I have them plugged in the upstairs loft/hallway and work great. Gives you just the right amount of light. I bought another set last year (same price) just to have backup. Highly recommend.

The battery model depends on light and motion.

The plug in ones always stay on once it's dark enough (night time), and do not respond to motion.

I got the battery power version for the stairs and it only activates in dusk/dark when motion is detected. Was considering get another pack at this price
