Not a hot deal, but with the difficulty of buying any weight sets right now, the best ability is availability - so please go easy on me.

Bowflex has come out with a new product - Adjustable barbell/ E-Z curl bar for $569 shipped ($549 + $20 shipping = $569). The weights adjust from 20-80 lb in 10 lb increments, includes both the straight bar & the E-Z curl bar.

Not sure if serious. Its not like swapping weights on a normal barbell is difficult to do. And only 80lbs for $600? LOL

Wouldn't have been a good deal at all pre-pandemic. Weight sets (Powerblocks/ Bowflex Dumbbells) are sold out everywhere, & sell out quickly when available (companies are charging additional shipping charges on top of regular price). Used weights are selling for extravagant amounts on craigslist. Also - All adjustable dumbbell sets cost more than their weight equivalents. If people wanted multiple weights all over the place, they wouldn't pay more for the adjustable options.

If you are in need of a weight set now, and don't want to go to someones house to pick up their old set of weights - this is as good a deal as you will find.

You can buy a real barbell and 80lbs of weights off Facebook Marketplace for less than $600 right now. This is as gimmicky as it gets, but go ahead and buy it.
Who hurt you? I'll give it having 'barbell' in the title could seem a little misleading, but this is direct competitor to a set of fixed ez curl bars. When you look at it like that, it's actually not really that bad of a deal. For example(s);

https://www.titan.fitness/strengt...042.2.html - $1179.99

https://strencor.com/strencor-pro...et-ez-curl - $1430

Obviously those two sets go above 80lbs, but they're also twice the price. Or you could buy them individually;

https://www.fitnessfactory.com/it..._barbells/

But then you're getting 7 bars to store, and it'll cost you $645 plus tax and shipping.

I think this is a pretty solid deal in this environment. It's a brand new product, so it's not on sale, but it's a space saver and will fix the ez curl bar needs of a large amount of people.

Of course you could use olympic or standard plates and a plate loaded bar, but that's not what this is meant to compete against.

[Edit] Now I'm actually seeing that it comes with straight AND ez curl bars, that makes it an even better deal imo. Replaces 2 full sets of fixed barbells.

And don't forget the upgrade to 120lbs;

https://www.bowflex.com/selecttec...00875.html

That's an additional $150(when it comes back in stock), making the overall price for 20-120 still significantly less expensive than any of the options listed above.

Any point to this for someone who already has a set of Bowflex adjustable dumbbells? I'm not seeing one.

On the contrary, I do feel like this is more comparable to a plate loaded barbell set. Sure it comes with 2 bars, but it's easy enough to just buy a second bar for a traditional set, too. It's just a faster way to change out the plates on a plate loaded bar and doesn't go particularly heavy. The biggest benefits are probably in marginal convenience and storage space, not price. And even that is marginal since some stands store the bars vertically. It's not really a deal, IMO. That all being said, I don't dislike the product.
