Is this a better deal? Smaller SSD and inferior graphics driver?

Is this a new higher watt 2060 that beats the 1660ti? Otherwise they're comparable.

Only $100 less for half the SSD space and a worse graphics card? Easily a worse deal

Anyone have one of these? I'm wondering about real world battery life when not gaming? I have an msi stealth 17 with 9th gen i7 and a 2070 and I get probably 1.5 hours when working on it, I'm just trading stocks, running thinkorswim and/or a browser, sometimes Spotify playing but it's really bad. I know no gaming laptop will be great but if I could get 5-6 hours of browsing etc I'd jump on a new laptop ina second and sell mine, maybe I should just grab a secondary laptop for work but I'd really like to stay with one, I like these or maybe a razor blade if there was anyone that could vouch for it

I have a prior generation of the Omen 15. Battery life is not good.

Like you, I am looking for a gaming laptop with 5-6 hours - one model that I am looking at is the Asus Tuf a15 with the 90WHr battery. Tough balancing act between gaming capabilities and battery life. Good luck.

Thank you, I really appreciate the reply. Maybe it's time I give up on an all In one solution and go for 2 or a razer stealth and a core since I really mainly game at home it's at work I need the battery life. I will look into the tuf a15 though thank you

Not sure if you like to tinker, but check to make sure opening up the Razer will not be difficult - this is for upgrades, etc. That is the other requirement - something that balances power and battery life while easy to upgrade and maintain...

The Mag-15 is gonna be your best bet. The Blades battery life is less than the Mag or Aero 15 so if battery life and portability are your main concerns, look into getting either of those.

Any TB3 solution is going to be extremely expensive and also a TON of diminishing returns. You'd have to invest in a 2070 super or better to see laptop 1660 ti framerates from an external GPU. Like I said in my previous comment, go for an Aero 15 or Mag-15. Check out reviews, amazing machines.

Thanks I don't think I've looked at those at all yet, I'll check them out
