IT IS NOT scientific to test qualified KN95 masks by pouring water into them. The dripping test is just a rumor. Firstly, water will destroy the protection ability of the melt blown filtering layer, that means: Water will destroy the effectiveness of the face mask; Secondly, too much water has weight (universal force[Laugh]) , so too much water will drip. Also, : The first layer of nonwoven material can let O2 (= oxygen ) pass through the face mask. That is why, the 1st Layer of face mask cannot 100% block water, especially when there is too much (for example, a cup of Water , too much water !!) pour in the face mask. This is not a scientific test and should not be used. So if I don't have any NIOSH certified N95 masks already or other NIOSH certified masks and I can't get them - since you don't recommend buying the Powecom masks, and I assume surgical or cloth masks would be worse - what should I buy, or should I just forego a mask all together and go out without one?

Note that the main reason to wear ANY mask is to protect others, as the vast majority of contagion is caused by asymptomatic airborne transmission (just ask Herman Caine). If a KN95 helps protect you, and is proven to do so, all the better. But the good ones will be very hard to breathe through.
I can wear my 3Ms for about half an hour before I need a break. A surgical mask or cloth mask is fine for most people if you avoid the Unwashed Unmasked Ignorant Plague Carriers.

For periodic public use while shopping and avoiding The Great Unmasked Hordes, extended use is perfectly fine (within reason).
Do you also agree that washing the masks or spraying them with peroxide makes mask useless or reduces effectiveness?
I have a few 3m N95 1860 and compared them with these Powecom kn95 masks i just received and the kn95 are so thin compare to the 3m masks. How can there be confidences that it still filter out 95%?
These are better than those.
These fit better, they fit tighter. These are my new favorites. Pre ordered the headband ones and will be order the ear loop ones again

Concerning the Canadian recall, Bonafide has responded in a few places clarifying that the recall only affects products from two unauthorized vendors. There's some discussion earlier in this thread.
