The only thing that really justifies the extra cost for Nvidia (if you're trying to get the best bang for the buck) is CUDA for non-gaming purposes. Except Nvenc maybe for streamers, but I'm not familiar with that, but that only matters for a relatively small number of people.

Oh they will. Slickdeals is owned by Goldman who heavily trade AMD. If you haven't noticed Slickdeals heavily advertises AMD compared to NVIDIA. Don't get me wrong though, I like AMD compared to NVIDIA as it is cost effective and AMD's video cards as well as their CPUs have longevity. Prime example was the R9 290 vs the 790. R9 290 still kicks in this day and age believe or not and so do older gen AMD processors. Radeon Vii is still a freaking monster if you could get your hands on one. Peace
