I was able to speak with a supervisor who manual applied the credit after I purchased the GC. Took some work, but still well worth $25 for free.

The promo code didn't work for me, either.

Here's what Live Chat told me because I was also getting "The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase."

Agent - Ok Looking here once everything is accomplished in the promo and verified that is when the 25$ will be applied to your account

Me - Okay, so I don't have to enter any code, correct?

Agent - Correct you will get an email when it has been applied

If you don't get the email saying you get the promo credit immediately after buying the GC (should come as fast as the order confirmation email), call and talk to a supervisor. Skip the initial level.
