8000 BTU is the SACC rating. Portable air conditioners are less efficient so you would get similar performance to a 8000 BTU window unit.

Given the total lack of reviews for this anywhere, can anybody comment on the CURRENT Walmart return policy for this kind of item?

Nevermind, it is 30 days.

Can someone explain the differences here?
This says 8000 BTU cools up to 550 sq.ft.

While this one:
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Arctic.../709357237

Says 8000 BTU cools up to 350 sq.ft.

And this one:
https://www.costco.com/.product.4116400.html

says 6700 BTU cools up to 400 sq.ft.

The BTU rating doesn't seem consistent with square footage.

Anyone find a good source of reviews for this?

Also trying to figure out the dimensions of the window kit to see if it fits my needs. I can't find any of that info.
