Some dishes go to the dishwasher and some not. I would have to mix dirty dishes with the clean one.

That's a great idea! Now I'm considering tossing my existing dry rack to use my dishwasher as the dry rack and save a decent chunk of counter space.

I prefer ones with a spout so they auto drain.

I got it used-acceptable (amazon warehouse) came new.
i do recommend it.
