From what I read, there is hardly anything in the Cube which makes it worth the price premium over the 4K Stick.

I'm not a big fan. I have one as my Primary streaming device and it doesn't have the memory to access all the apps I use. Furthermore, the remote chews up AAA batteries like no device I have ever seen.

It's not that's it's a terrible device, it's just that you cant cut the cord and go with JUST this. Which means you might as well go with the 4k stick (which I also have and is similarly limited but at least without the price tag)

I am still rocking a Fire TV 2nd gen. I like it, but it's starting to take a long time when it "wakes up" to be able to navigate through apps. Any idea whether a newer box is coming out? I may switch to Roku.

I have a 2nd gen and 2 pendants. The 2nd gen is the one I use primarily, but it is always running out of app space, causing Kodi to go through the "1st run" process because it has less than 500MB freee space. A reboot clears the problem for a few days, but it always returns. I thought about going to a cube, because that would take my from 8GB to 16GB of storage which I think might keep this issue from happening. Maybe I should look in to different hardware? Hard to do when Kodi is set up and runs exactly how I want it to (and does so perfectly) other than this issue where the Fire TVs don't have enough internal storage.

Not sure that's a good source, as it comparing the 3rd gen 4K stick to the 1st gen cube. Cube is now on gen 2.

Mainly from the past deal discussions here on SD. Also, there is a comparison chart on the Amazon product page. I didn't find any additional compelling features there.

Same issue here. Hence me looking to move to the cube.

Yeah gen 2 is a hexacore. I agree with the other guy though that the 25 dollar sales for the 4k stick cant be beat. Though they seem to ne doing less of those this year. I like my gen 2 cube. Got it from the bb bundle price mistake. With everything more expensive lately i guess we won't see this drop below 80 bucks like it should. the regular price of 119 is highway robbery and almost in the shield price tier

super snappy device no complaints

Biggest difference if you care about Netflix Atmos....cube supports That ,stick doesn't.

along with performance and smoothness are better in cube
