I have been reading so many toaster reviews that I am unsure what to get.

It seems no matter the brand, about 10% of reviews are negative.

This is a $15 toaster on sale but walmart has $15-20 toasters with probably easier & longer return periods. 90 days verus 15 at best buy.

Their in store models are $20 while an online only one is $15 but you can only get it with free shipping with a $35 order.

I have a best buy gift card that I want to use as Ive had it for years and rarely buy from them but its $133 and this toaster would just be $16.49 with tax.

Last night I bought a cheaper bella for $17.99 patially for a $3 TCB bonus that ended last night but that was a regular $19.99 toaster. They had it in stock locally but when this one came on sale for a lower price I cancelled the other one.

This one is not in stock and the stock wont have it until Sunday if I order today. Also Best Buy is not even open all the way so is that going to be an issue given I don't have a smart phone with apps for their pickup in car stuff?

Im leaning toward a walmart one for easier returns in the event I dislike it in the first 90 days. I doubt anybody else has that kind of return policy.

I don't need a 4 slice one and Im not sure all the expensive features are really needed by me.

Amazon has their model which is $23 so Im not sure its any better than the $15-20 walmart ones.

Now, my decision is coming down to a $14.96 2 slice from Walmart. Black & Decker or a Walmart Mainstays brand, 4 slice for $16.88. My thinking is even though I don't need 4 slices, if one side were to quit, the other side might still work thus making it last longer. (I am single)

Target has a lower end one for $12.99 but Target is not as convenient for me and I am unaware of their return policies.

As for the $14.96 one, Im unsure if they even have it as it seems to vary. A few days ago they only had it online. Yesterday it was only in my store. (Its not on the shelf in my store, I looked)

I might order both the 2 and 4 and then try them both and return one.

Well, the $14.96 one that initially showed only available online and then later only in my store was auto-cancelled.

I had a feeling that might be the case which is why I ordered the $16.88 one too.

And my entire order should be here Friday. I save 4% sales tax when shipped to my house versus buying or picking up in store.

Hamilton Beach 2 Slice Toaster | Model# 22614Z is the cancelled one. That was supposedly $14.96.

Here is the other one I did buy....not the greatest reviews but 79% are 4 or 5 stars. And 4.1 starts on average. If its no good, I have 90 days to return. And probably a 1 year warranty although I am not counting on it dying between 3 and 12 months. If its going to quit or have problems, it will probably be within 90 days.

This is my $16.88 special...$17.89 with tax shipped to my door with other stuff to meet the $35 minimum.

Now the $14.96 one says 6 left online.

I compared the mainstay to a 4 slice black & decker both have over 91% 4&5 star reviews after removing 1 star reviews. Why remove them? Because I have 90 days to return it and most would show up within 90 days.

The black & decker does have double the warranty but you wonder if they want you to ship it for warranty service? On the Walmart brand, you box it and return to store. But just 1 year versus 2 years for the name brand. The price difference was $24.88 and $16.88. So $8 cheaper. That said, the black & decker has almost 9 times as many reviews.

Oh and the name brand weighs 4.9 pounds versus 4.4 pounds.

Other differences are black & decker have 1-7 toasting levels. Walmart brand is 1-6.

I got the walmart mainstays 4 slice toaster today. First I ran each 2 cycles to get rid of the plastic smell that I read about on many toaster reviews no matter the brand. And I just made toast. Set it around 2.5 and it was not quite enough so another 20 seconds and its fine. More even than my older cheaper one.

They do not have anymore nationally but a local store seems to have 1-2 in stock. I had mine shipped with other stuff for $16.88. So far, so good. I don't see any reason to return it. The other one I was considering seems to be out of stock. The $14.96 Hamilton Beach that only holds 2 slices.

Amazon seems to have a similar Sunbeam for $19.99. I bet Sunbeam made this walmart brand.

One complaint that many reviews of many brands have mentioned is the cord is too short. Barely 18 inches. I can make due.

I found a lower priced 2 slice Mainstays that did not show available last week.

It has morre 1 star reviews but $9.88 is $7 less than $16.88 so I am going to try it and if its good return te higher priced one.

This was at the 2nd closest store to me in a worse area. They had about a dozen.
