I would strongly suggest sticking to original maker branded one for that specific model even(for Nissan and Honda's they differ by models and generation of transmission), last thing you want is to damage your expensive transmission while trying to save $40-50. These "universal" ones can do more damage than good.

I've been running this for three years in a 2010 Altima with no problems. I ordered two cases of this product as it's below a camel alert that I have. Seller is Amazon and fullfilled by Amazon.

Anyone actually gotten bottles of this received yet? Guessing this is a pricing error? Or is amazon trying to get rid of slow moving automotive products to make room for more Corona type fast moving items?

I guess we'll see what shows up.

I buy Valvoline Dexron-VI at Menards for $4.50 per quart, so I think maybe there's a lot of markup possible in automotive fluids.. Who knows.
I have not been over to BITOG, maybe I'd find something out over there.

I had a 2009 Altima with a factory 10/120 mile warranty on the CVT. I did extensive research on changing the CVT oil. Some said never change it at all. Others said change it at 60,000 miles. Nobody ever suggested using anything other than OEM fluid. That would have voided the warranty. Solved the problem by selling the car for the Slick Deals Audi!

I have actually received part of my order. I am getting six cases as I have several CVT transmission cars. I have used this product in the past and have had good results.

The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act does not allow a warranty to be voided just because you don't use OEM oil or parts.

Got 4 quarts! Not 4-cases.
Must be an error by seller, through Amazon.

Thanks for sharing that they are shipping this product. I noticed that Valvoline has changed the packaging bottle and the label, maybe this accounts for the lower price.

I noticed the label that's on the 2-3 quarts I have remaining from 2 years ago is different than what's on valvoline's website.

I didn't see this discussion over at BITOG. I don't have an account over there, but I do use their promotions discussion to find products.

I've had good results with this product in the pan as well. I wish I would have fully flushed it by draining from the trans cooler lines. Now I'll have enough product to do so.

It appears that there's a filter in the pan and then there's an external filter outside the transmission on some of the Nissan Jatco units. I know this isn't a car forum, but if anyone has done that filter on a Nissan Jatco or knows of a good post please let me know.

Thanks!

The owner manual does not list CVT fluid change in their suggested schedule, but says that if you want to change it, change it every 60,000 miles. I'm going to change it every 30-40k just to be safe. These Jatco CVTs are prone to problems.... Never gonna buy another Nissan car again.

That's what the dealerships want you to think so they can sell their product.

I didn't listened to any dealers, just by reading online forums. In my 14 Civic it seems they use organic not synthetic type and even changed formulation from previous generation (I would assume based on results they obtained from testing). I bought two cases from ebay for probably same price this one retails so not overpaid much.
Each person can decide what they do and use but my personal preference is not to screw with things that cost a lot of money to fix, just to save a few bucks. I changed on mine at 30K actually since I bought car used at 28K and wasn't sure how much abuse it got, it came out very dark almost black and very stinky, new fluid was translucent green instead and thankfully it wasn't any harder than changing engine oil.

Do not ever change it. My transmission started to slip at about 70k miles, so a dealer suggested to change the oil. After that the car would not move more than 20 MPH at best. I had to replace the transmission at that time. A year later the car's manufacturer send a rebate offer to reimburse the repair of the transmission's slips. They did not reimburse the oil change.

Just got mine.
I got 4 quarts, not 4 6-quart cases.

Addition: Seller offered me no-return refund.
OK, but I still need a lot more.
Wally World seems like least expensive option. Comments/Advice?

Yes, that's what the owners manual says so I chose never to change the fluid. It appears that the failures have nothing to do with the fluid changes. For my 2009 Altima, not one single repair on anything in 10 years and over 100,000 miles. Great car for me, but the CVT made me so nervous about failing that I sold the car.
