Previous deal showed expired but item is in stock for shipping at the time of this posting. My left d pad is clicking on my standard controller and it's the third one I've replaced in about 15 months. Blame it on Rocket League. I've seen good and bad on this but figured with Costco returns it's worth a shot. Price $159.99 and free shipping. May be able to PM to Best Buy, target etc.
Did they fix the stick drift, easily broken bumpers, and padded grip peeling. I had all of these problems within 1 year of owning gen 1 of the elite controller. Suffice to say it was deflating since i genuinely loved it.
You can buy the Microsoft warranty within 14 days. You just have to call because the stores are still closed. I understand you can take back to Costco forever, but that doesn't get me a replacement controller.

Nope. 6 months and I have a trigger that sticks and stick drift on the left joystick.
I'm going to try to cash in on my 2-year Bestbuy warranty for my Gen 1 controller this week. It is ending soon so this will be perfect timing.
I think I will try to get this price matched to Bestbuy instead. I've had my hands on a couple of these Gen 1 controllers and all but one had noticeable drift issues out of the box. I hear the Gen 2 still has issues so I'd like to play it safe.
Since XB1 accessories will work with the next Xbox, I'll get use out of it for well over 2 years. Being able to swap them out when they get issues (which I really expect) over that lifetime will be good.

I love mine but bought a warranty and am on my 3rd one. I put a lotta hours on the controllers though.
Issue I had was part of the grip starting to peel. Was still usable but had a warranty.

If you don't mind me asking, which warranty?
I may be remembering incorrectly, but I've heard you can buy a warranty from the Microsoft store. Which is crucial for the Elite 2
Best Buy. Whenever I exchanged, they let me pay another $10 or $15 to extend.
