LG OLED - Where are the deals?

I am in the market to buy and LG OLED and I can't believe there are no deals around. This time last year it seemed like every couple of weeks I was seeing them go for around $1800. Is this because of Covid? I want to pull the trigger but I am afraid as soon as I do I am going to see one of these sale prices. Anyone have any advice here?

If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

If anyone in NJ wants a new in box LG OLED GX 65 from Best Buy....my local BB matched a non-local retailer at $2896 (including tax). Best price I've seen aside from greentoe.

No longer want it because I found a good deal on a 77" C9.

Haven't taken delivery yet, so wanted to offer it here before canceling the order

How much are you getting the 77" C9 for?

I had been waiting also for a deal on a 55 inch C9 and from what I can tell everyone is sold out (Amazon, Best Buy) but my local Micro center had three 55 C9 refurbished models for $999 each. I decided to take the risk and pick up the refurbished C9 and the one I received has only 4 hours on it and the set is in perfect shape. The only thing I didn't get was batteries for the remote and the break out cable for analog video (don't need it anyway). I didn't want to spend the extra for 55 inch CX.

Even my local microcenter has 65 C9 but they only 90 day warranty. Still thinking of committing $1500 for a refurbished tv with only 3 months warranty.

Recent data point: I put in a lowball bid on the E9 55" at Greentoe and was counter-offered $1448. They didn't bite at $1399.

The TV was for a gift anyway, and I ended up buying the CX for $1649 on Amazon. Not my choice, I would have gone with the E9.
