Not a bad price for a new Segway scooter (previous deal @ $199 was for a refurbished unit)). Price is attractive for a good brand name (Segway), but this scooter does not fold nor can you change the drive mode. On the other hand, you get a 300W motor, shock absorber, etc. Not a bad deal. I opted for the $248 Gotrax Rival for the lower price and foldability because I don't need the range with my 3.5 mile commute.

Better price than a couple weeks ago when it was on sale for $349 (brand new).
I bought one then, but now wonder if it's possible to get a price match from Walmart or is my only option to return and repurchase? Walmart price match policy says they don't price match their own prices on walmart.com. Dummies...
FWIW, very happy with it (for the price) and got the one with the white LED so it works with the Ninebot/Segway app perfectly. Solid tires make for a rough ride on roads. Wish it had air tires, but then there is the issue with flats. Oh well.

So does the app allow you to get into standard mode (as opposed to being stuck on sports mode, thus, reducing range to <7 miles)? What type of milage do you get on a single charge? Also, I thought it has shock absorber on the front?

No, locked into Sports mode. I basically use it to run up the street and back to my parents place as car parking there is slim to none. I haven't gone long range with it since I do have a car.
It does have some sort of shock absorber on the front wheel but not sure what it actually is since it has a cover over it.
Keep in mind there are two different configs of the ES1-300 and only one works with the app. It depends on the color of the LED display. WHITE = works, BLUE = NOT.

You can get 10 miles or just go easy on the throttle.
Is this the best scooter at this price range? Are the tires solid or inflatable?
Depends on when you need the scooter. At the moment, both Xiaomi M365 and Gotrax GXL V2 (or XR Ultra) are out of stock. In this price range, the Bird is very good if you do not need a folding scooter. The Xiaomi is highly regarded, but is normally $399, and currently oos. The Gotrax GXL V2 can be had for as low as $234 (with promo code, or the Ultra for $299) if you buy direct from Gotrax, but that is risky given the many complaints. I bought the Gotrax Rival from Walmart (same as GXL V2) for $248 + tax because ease of return (if scooter was defective). But that is currently oos.
If you do not need folding, get the Bird. It has a 300W motor and longer range than my Gotrax Rival.
I bought the referb one..came in a new box..couldn't even tell it was refurb. The Bluetooth doesn't work or atleast doesn't connect to Segway app.
I've owned the xioami m365. This one is definitely better built

It is well built, for sure. Happy so far.
