FYI: I got this the last time I went on sale and although it does support 4K 60 with no fuss it does not carry an HDR 10/Dolby Vision signal. Still worth it at this price if that isn't a deal breaker for you since from what I've seen getting something that will carry that runs around $40+

Cable was cheaper than adapter for me, due to a 12% clippable coupon on the sales page that stacked with the coupon code, bringing it to $10.59 pre-tax.

I wonder what the difference is between the two models. Currently using the first one linked (grayish one), and what I like about it is that it supports various resolutions on my 25-inch LG monitor unlike other adapters I tried (most others I tried just supports 4k and 1080p). I'm able to switch between the following res with this:

3840x2160 (4k)
3360x1890
3008x1692
2560x1440 (1440p, or so-called 2k)
1920x1080 (1080p)

For me, I found the 2560x1440 resolution to be the perfect balance between screen estate and font size for my everyday work.

Usb-c hub with pass-through PD. And no, it doesn't get particularly hot. Then again, I was only using it to demonstrate an app, not do actual work.

Bought the cable last time, and it supports only 4K@30Hz.

According to my system report (in MacBook Air), it DOES support 4K@60Hz.

EDIT: Sorry, this is for the adapter, not the cable.
