Not a bad price, but note this is last year's model. In this price range, you'd likely be able to find something newer with a 10th gen Intel and RTX 2060.

I still don't understand what they were thinking to place the shift key in such awkward place.

It is definitely a deal breaker for me.

Nopes, you're not. And Razer Blade normally costs a tad higher than the similarly configured laptops from other brands. Another thing..go and check what is the performance difference between a new 10th gen i7-10750H and this i7-9750H.
The Costco MSI deal is 1199 for a 2060 and 10th Gen so ... yes there is.

There's a huge difference in build quality. Just depends on what you want.

Purely personal but I like this deal - Yes the components may be same/similar but Razer has higher quality builds and materials compared to most laptop manufacturers.

Just my gut feel:
Acer = Mitsubishi
MSI, HP, Dell = Toyota
Razer, Alienware = BMW

That vastly improved build quality on the Razer must account for their significantly higher repair and failure rate, at least they lead the industry in something. Applause

The original quote was in this price range you can get a 10th gen with 2060. You want to fanboy Razor go ahead, but you're paying for 2019 specs on a gpu that's a tier below the current offering.

1660??? Should be a 2060 at this price point for a "deal" ... at $1100 it's just meh ...

also a lot of reviews claim it's a 60hz monitor and not 144hz

Nice price for this laptop type. If you want something heavier and don't mind something more plasticky, offerings from Asus and mail do exist for slightly better processor and gpus for not much more.

If you want 10th gen CPUs + 2060/2070 gpus in this form factor (15in, metal, thin and light for a 15in), be prepared to spend closer to 2k.

some data points to consider:

10th gen i7 and the 2060 costs $700 extra https://www.amazon.com/dp/B086MGY...9EbBX6K5WW

if you just want the GPU upgrade, it costs $500 extra https://www.amazon.com/dp/B086MGY...9EbDYZXC5D

looking at these prices alone, the $1100 price is a steal (or the gtx 2600 upgrade is kinda pricey)
