I've had Duracells and Energizers leak on me too. Are there any manufacturers whose batteries never leak?

I was just feeling good about myself for switching to rechargables.

the low voltage on rechargables drives me crazy though, why aren't there cheap AAA lithium rechargables

Same as the others, had a bunch of Rayovac batteries that leaked while in a box and some in devices.
