I've stayed away from posting deals to Hawaii because of the 14-day mandatory quarantine. This has been lifted and now you must show a negative Covid-19 test to visit.

Alaska and Hawaiian Airlines have round trip airfares travelling to and from San Jose CA (SJC) and Oahu Honolulu (HNL) or Kauai (LIH) for $197, nonstop. These are basic-economy type fares, a restricted fare.

Actually this is somewhat inaccurate information. The mandatory 14 day quarantine IS in effect regardless of a passing test until August 1st. So this info is applicable to these flight dates but I thought it was important to mention this small detail in case somebody else was thinking of coming earlier.

I'm a RT engineer for a major HOSP in CA and I can tell u right now that the country is headed for a MAJOR 2nd wave already (and possibly worse by winter this year). Our beds are filling up rapidly just in the last month and more people coming with confirmed cases.

I'd put ALL travel plans on hold for the rest of the year or TILL a vaccine is available.

Yeah, this is definitely rolling the dice. I think it's highly likely that Hawaii extends to quarantine rule beyond August 1, since the situation is very likely only getting worse on the mainland.

Crazy times. I still have vivid memories of last September, when we were in Oahu for our annual Hawaii trip. We just stated at Waikiki that time because the grandparents have never been there. The crowd and vibe were amazing as always. I miss it a lot.

Agree! We are in Stockton (Northern California). Wife's a RN and the numbers of confirmed cases at her work are climbing and at fast rate. We had to cancel all family travels for the remainder of the year. We are in Stockton (Northern California)

Southwest is the same price from at least San Diego, probably more CA cities. SW beats this deal with 2 free checked bags per person!
