How dare they try to make a one-time $30 in exchange for giving you a FREE line, Mr. Entitled.

This weekend, T-Mobile is giving away a FREE VOICE LINE! Any T-Mobile plan is eligible (even Simple Choice). New customers need to have two paid lines to get the free line. Current customers with at least two paid lines can just add a free line.

***This is an EXTREMELY RARE No-Stipulation Line (like the free lines offered back in 2016 & 2017...)

If you're new to T-Mobile and you'd like to stack this to get the 4 lines for $120 on the Magenta plan, which comes with a free Netflix account, you'll need to go to T-Mobile today/tonight (Thursday, June 25th) to start/port a 3-line account on the Magenta plan. T-Mobile is currently running a 3rd line free. All 3 lines will be $120, which includes tax.

THEN....

Starting tomorrow, Friday, June 26th, you can add a 4th line to your plan for FREE! This will give you 4 lines on the T-Mobile Magenta plan, which comes with all taxes/fees, unlimited data and a free Netflix account, for $120. IF YOU ARE GOING TO DO THIS... GO TO T-MOBILE NOW TO START THE 3-LINE DEAL FIRST.... DO NOT SIGN UP FOR FOUR LINES THINKING THE 4TH LINE WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE FREE TOMORROW... IT WON'T. 3 lines TODAY, 1 line TOMORROW!

As always, start-up fees may or may not be charged, and can come to $10 per SIM and $20 per activation per line. Ask to see if any of these may be waived.

Details about the 4th line free will be on the website tomorrow (Friday, June 26th), but don't wait to start the first 3 lines today/tonight!

Read through most of the thread since the beginning both here and on reddit, but couldn't find a straightforward answer.

I am on One with Insider, One Plus, Kickback, etc. and currently have 8 voice lines. Multiple reps stated that I do qualify for the free line. However, they have to change me to a Magenta rate plan that will take 9+ lines. This would also cause me to lose a majority of the promos on my current plan. They stated that they could not move me to the equivalent One plan since it has since been grandfathered.

Has anybody moved from a grandfathered One 8 line plan to an equivalent 9+ voice line plan without being forced to move to Magenta? If so, what is your new SOC?

This offer is expired and no longer available for customers

Do NOT add any of the Stay Connected Discount data SOCs to customer's accounts after end of day April 23 (12:00 a.m. PT on April 24). Customers will not receive the 50% discount and will only have capped data.

The Stay Connected discount provides temporary pricing relief to our customers who are experiencing financial strain in times of economic hardship and uncertainty. We are offering impacted customers discount on their current voice plan of 50% off their GSM lines for the three billing cycles. Customers will receive 3 GB capped data while receiving the discount. We will also have additional data buckets available for purchase.
I had it before but I didn't realized that my new plan will be doubled because this 50% promo will go away. I can't even go back to my old plan now.

Thanks for the pointer. I saw that post, and referenced the same SOC to T-mobile rep and they said they cannot do that since it is grandfathered. All 8 line plans, including Magenta, must be moved to a new rate plan for 9+ lines If adding more lines, including the free one.

For those who have activated a line and get a free from in a previous promotion, what happens if you cancel the line that you added to receive the free line? Will the free line be removed?

Ok been following this thread since Friday when all this started. Here is my multiple chat with the customer service starting Friday Evening.

I have grandfathered in Simple Choice North America Family Match Promo including 4 lines with 10gig at $140 plus tax. I added a free line few years back so total 5 lines.

My first attempt was texting csr through my tmobile app and I told her I wanted the free promo line that started today as in Friday. She said I'm qualify and she can help me with it. But my mistake I asked I'm also interested in upgrading my old iPhone 6s Plus promo for $500 credit and she said no problem. So as she was going through the process getting my imei and what kind of iPhone 11 info I get disconnected and it took longer then I expected because I was still working.
Attempt number two on Saturday through text thought first csr went so well. That is when the guy told me I need to add 2 additional line to take advantage of the free line and my plan didn't not qualify. I told him it's the new, can't remember the exact name of that doc" but told him to refer to the 2020 new promo that started Friday. He just said yes I'm not qualify. So I thanked him and try again through text.
Next customer rep thru text check my plan and said sorry you have the same plan as me and neither of us can take advantage of the plan. Thanked her and that was that.
My 4th attempt saturday afternoon I decided just dial 611 and usually this is the way I contact them. Greeted by CSR name Robin right away she said sure you qualify and started to reassure me no changes to my plan. I said I don't want any surprise and changes to my current plan. She reassure no changes. Only changes is additional $10.xx for the sim. I asked her I been a loyal customer can't you waive the fee she said well no way to waive it but she can credit me on next bill. So gave her my card info and she charged the sim and I did get credit for the sim. No mention of the $20 activation fee which was nice. I asked about the iPhone 11 promo she said that one I need to port in a number which didn't have one so I asked how long I have after adding a line to take on any phone promo. She said within 24 hours. So that was that. So I can think how to go about my next step to take advantage of the iPhone promo.
Sunday I was planning to use the google voice porting method but read forum that method is dead. Saw someone posted a eBay seller for the att porting so bought that for $5 as a backup. My first attempt text and asked about the iPhone 11 promo, guy told me I'm only eligible for iPhone SE and iPhone XS and also need to change my plan bcuZ my plan doesn't qualify for it. Thank him and after work called 611.
Lady answered said yes I'm qualify for the iPhone 11 trade in but I need to port in a number but at that moment in my account my new number didn't show on the account yet. Still processing. She reassure she will call me Monday and follow up on it once number is there.
Monday, this morning, waiting with my att porting number info from eBay, my imei number for the trade in iPhone 6s Plus, waiting and ready. 10am she follow up asked for the iemei, model and make, then ask which iPhone 11 I wanted and within 10min all set with my trade in and iPhone 11 order. Back of my head I'm thinking what about the port in number? She didn't mention so I didn't mention. As long as the order was in and see the trade in all in my account which are all there when. I logged in.
So there is my last 4 days of getting this deal. Haha. It's hard work but if everything goes thru and smoothly well worth it. Thanks OP. Will keep track make sure that line is free. Because at the moment I don't see anything that says 2020 promo line on us. I do have the "$20 line on us (ALL) promo". Not sure if that was my free 5th line promo. If anyone have any idea please let me know. Either way I'm gonna watch my next bill. Their should only be the eip payment of the.new iPhone 11. Crossing my fingers. Good luck everyone. Been a fun 4 days of craziness. Haha

Just an update:

I called in to order the Note 10+ 5G and Galaxy S20 5G, but CSR wanted to charge $10 per phone for shipping, so will go to store and get these phones.

I added a line on friday at 1245 pm PST. My account shows that the line was added, the plan didnt change, i see the new line with even a new phone number in there. But i didnt get any update on the sim card kit shipping out nor did i get a tracking number for the new phone. ANybody who ordered a 50% off device and the sim, get it delivered or shipped yet. Did you get a shipping notification by text or email? i am surprised it even shows a new phone number even before sim was activated or even shipped. Has anybody actually got a sim card delivery without a shipping notification?
