How dare they try to make a one-time $30 in exchange for giving you a FREE line, Mr. Entitled.

This weekend, T-Mobile is giving away a FREE VOICE LINE! Any T-Mobile plan is eligible (even Simple Choice). New customers need to have two paid lines to get the free line. Current customers with at least two paid lines can just add a free line.

***This is an EXTREMELY RARE No-Stipulation Line (like the free lines offered back in 2016 & 2017...)

If you're new to T-Mobile and you'd like to stack this to get the 4 lines for $120 on the Magenta plan, which comes with a free Netflix account, you'll need to go to T-Mobile today/tonight (Thursday, June 25th) to start/port a 3-line account on the Magenta plan. T-Mobile is currently running a 3rd line free. All 3 lines will be $120, which includes tax.

THEN....

Starting tomorrow, Friday, June 26th, you can add a 4th line to your plan for FREE! This will give you 4 lines on the T-Mobile Magenta plan, which comes with all taxes/fees, unlimited data and a free Netflix account, for $120. IF YOU ARE GOING TO DO THIS... GO TO T-MOBILE NOW TO START THE 3-LINE DEAL FIRST.... DO NOT SIGN UP FOR FOUR LINES THINKING THE 4TH LINE WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE FREE TOMORROW... IT WON'T. 3 lines TODAY, 1 line TOMORROW!

As always, start-up fees may or may not be charged, and can come to $10 per SIM and $20 per activation per line. Ask to see if any of these may be waived.

Details about the 4th line free will be on the website tomorrow (Friday, June 26th), but don't wait to start the first 3 lines today/tonight!

Anyone able to get the iPhone 11 trade in promo with port in whilst on a SimpleChoice plan. Getting mixed messages from different Stores, 611, and Twitter.
The answer is no. I did it in-store, was assured that the promos stack, except the little detail that SC does not qualify for the promo (that piece I learned here on SD). So I contacted 611 to see what gives, since I see the EIP for the 11 in my account but not the promo attached to it, and long story short they said it doesn't qualify and gave me a bill credit in the full trade in amount instead. I did get the Congratulations text for the free line though.

Thanks and good to know. I'm fine with that option as well. Definitely don't want to give up my SC plan.

I added the free line on Friday and received the promotion yesterday. This morning,
I received the following text message.

T-Mobile alert! You've been un-enrolled from your promotional service discount as the account no longer meets promotion eligibility criteria.
Something like That happened to me a few years ago during their free line promo. I signed up for a free line and unknown to me a line was added and canceled on my account one day later making me ineligible for the free line. Fast forward 2 2 years later and I realized what happened. Luckily I had the email about the promo being added to my account so I contested it and T-Mobile gave me credit for being charged for the line.

So Check in you account for recent activity and if you don't see anything check CS to find out why you got the text. I'm sure they can fix it. Better do it sooner than later

I don't like bill credits since they can't be used to pay off the EIP. Granted you don't have to pay your phone bill for a few months but I'd prefer to have the EIP gone and continue making my monthly payments.

Old bookkeeping habit Peace

Your best bet is eBay. Google Voice is ineligible now, even if it goes through, they'll message you about it.

No, tried that yesterday. On one of of my accounts I have the same plan. Used the chat on the app. Rep said yes, I qualify. Needed a SIM card to add the line. I had one at home, so they said they could call me back.

First of all, whatever country they were calling me from had the longest delay on the call possible. I would basically say something and it would be literally 10 second later before I knew the rep heard what I said.

Second, there was literally a rooster going off in the background the entire time! I guess in whatever country they are, they're working from home.

The whole call took 1 hour, 20 minutes. The rep kept getting errors after putting me on hold---they said 3 to 5 minutes which turned out to be 10. However during those 10 minutes at least I got a break from hearing the rooster!

First she suggested changing to me to Magenta from T-Mobile One Plus All-In and I said no, forget that. Then she was trying something else like add a separate line completely.

At the end, I said forget it, but she said she would call me back today after she talks to her supervisor. She was fighting so hard to do this, I don't know if she is worried that she'll be penalized by bad customer feedback if she doesn't get the line added. But she didn't want to drop it.

After I got off the call, I looked up my SOC code and compared to the screen shot. I see my code, FRLTUL2LP is not in the list so I'm fine with that.

I can't understand how T-Mobile thinks its a good idea to have 1 hour 20 minute customer service calls with a rooster in the background. If they simply trained their reps to look up the SOC code in the list as the first step they could handle their customers much more quickly.

Thanks for sharing! Yep, agreed that looking up SOC code should be step 1.

Interestingly enough, my code is MAGENTA2, which qualifies... but I'm not sure the promos would stack and it's not worth jeopardizing my current plan for 1 additional line.

Hello,

I am an existing TMO customer with 2 lines. I have tried to read through this thread, but still have a questions:

Does anyone know what the terms and conditions are once I add a free line? Can I disconnect it or one of my existing lines (they are not in contract and have no in contract phone) at any time - let's say I want to downsize to just 1 line from 2+1 (free) after 6 mos?

Thank you

1 year. you can't remove any lines in your account within 1 year, or you will forfeit that free line.

You cannot disconnect any lines for a full year, and if you've disconnected a line within the last 90 days, you need to reactivate that line in order to get the free line.
