How dare they try to make a one-time $30 in exchange for giving you a FREE line, Mr. Entitled.

This weekend, T-Mobile is giving away a FREE VOICE LINE! Any T-Mobile plan is eligible (even Simple Choice). New customers need to have two paid lines to get the free line. Current customers with at least two paid lines can just add a free line.

***This is an EXTREMELY RARE No-Stipulation Line (like the free lines offered back in 2016 & 2017...)

If you're new to T-Mobile and you'd like to stack this to get the 4 lines for $120 on the Magenta plan, which comes with a free Netflix account, you'll need to go to T-Mobile today/tonight (Thursday, June 25th) to start/port a 3-line account on the Magenta plan. T-Mobile is currently running a 3rd line free. All 3 lines will be $120, which includes tax.

THEN....

Starting tomorrow, Friday, June 26th, you can add a 4th line to your plan for FREE! This will give you 4 lines on the T-Mobile Magenta plan, which comes with all taxes/fees, unlimited data and a free Netflix account, for $120. IF YOU ARE GOING TO DO THIS... GO TO T-MOBILE NOW TO START THE 3-LINE DEAL FIRST.... DO NOT SIGN UP FOR FOUR LINES THINKING THE 4TH LINE WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE FREE TOMORROW... IT WON'T. 3 lines TODAY, 1 line TOMORROW!

As always, start-up fees may or may not be charged, and can come to $10 per SIM and $20 per activation per line. Ask to see if any of these may be waived.

Details about the 4th line free will be on the website tomorrow (Friday, June 26th), but don't wait to start the first 3 lines today/tonight!

added free line and stacked with the $350 off XS promo...
Got bill, and do not see the monthly credits and asked rep why
rep now telling me my plan (TMO ONE) does not qualify for the $350 off XS promo, and thats why credits are not showing up...
Rep escalated issue... which will take 48hrs for them to address and will follow up with me in 48hrs....
This is not good. Freakin bait & switch cuz i wouldnt have ordered phone otherwise....

WTF is going to happen? I cant be the only one in this boat here...
Anyone else with this issue?
That is true. XS promo is only for Magenta account and some others. Not sure if they changed, but definitely when i looked for iphone11/port vs XS discount.

Try to return it and get a different phone

To save $350 on an iPhone XS or XS Max, you must:

Activate at least one voice line to be used with the new device on a qualified voice plan
Qualified plans include: Magenta®, Magenta® Plus, Essentials, Magenta® Unlimited 55, Magenta® Plus Unlimited 55, Magenta® First Responder, Magenta® Plus First Responder, Magenta® Military and Magenta® Plus Military
Purchase the device through our monthly payment plan
Pay the required down payment and any applicable taxes on the pre-credit device price at time of purchase and
Remain active and in good standing on a voice rate plan, with active monthly payment plan.

Trying to figure out the best practice for my account.
I currently have 6 lines,
I have 2 lines for $100 + 3rd line for free + $20 for the 4th line + $50 for the 5th line and now I added the 6th line for free.
Technically, I no longer need line #4 and #5 anymore but I cannot cancel due to the restrictions on the new, 6th free line.
I am planning to put #4 and the #5th paid line on a seasonal suspension for $10/mo instead of $20 and keep seasonal suspension for 6 months (which is the maximum time you can) and then pay $20/each for another 6 months, cancel those two paid lines and keep 4 lines total. 2 free 2 paid.
I need a total of 4 lines only.

Any other recommendations?
5th line is $50 ?

Seasonal suspension is limited to twice a year with 90 consecutive, meaning 180 days. Then you will start paying again for remaining months til the1 yr maturity
.
If u don't have need for 4 , 5 or 6th line (save $70) , cancel them, and hope Tmobile offers a free line in the future.

https://www.t-mobile.com/support/...uspensions

You may voluntarily suspend your account twice a year for a maximum period of 90 consecutive days for each suspension. During a seasonal suspension, your account must remain current. You can suspend individual lines of an account, while other lines remain active. If you previously suspended your line within the last 12 months as a Seasonal Suspend, the option to suspend the line on My T-Mobile will not be displayed until the end of the 12-month period.
Multiline rate plan seasonal suspension fees

When all lines on a multiline rate plan are suspended, accounts are billed $10 per bill cycle for each suspended line. For example, if you suspend all lines on a four-line account, you are charged $40 per bill cycle.
When one or more lines on a multiline plan remain active, accounts are billed the plan's full monthly charge, including any data or additional features.
If an add-a-line that's not included in the multiline rate plan is suspended, you are charged the multiline rate plan fee, plus a $10 fee for the suspended add-a-line.

I'm on the same boat. I was very unhappy about this. I used imessage T-mobile support to confirm what I already knew that the first rep (and others that all assured me I qualified) was wrong and I didn't qualify in the first place. So I talked with the rep through imessage. They offered to switch my plan but I declined to which they then offered to apply the promotion or 350$ credit into my account. Obviously the better option is the lump sum. It was like 15 min convo and I finally have this saga behind me.

Hard to trust T-mobile reps after this on face value but at least they honored their word. I can see how the line promo is harder to rectify since its a forever promotion. But for me it ended well (maybe better than the monthly credits) so I'm a happy camper who wasted maybe a few hours fretting about it and talking to reps to have confirmations in writing.

On the simple choice 6gb plan (upgraded to unlimited for free)
I was able to add the free line, but this free line doesn't have unlimited data, it only has 6gb. Please advice. All other lines have unlimited
Hi, can you please let me know how and when did you add your free line? I'm on the same plan as yours with 2 free lines from 2016, I called on Saturday and they said no because I already have 2 free lines.

i really didnt look bc rep was offering it to me. didnt really think they trying to F* me over, but then again this isnt the first time this happened with tmo lol. i was adding free line and rep then ask if i needed a phone. I asked her what iphones on sale now that i can get. told me iphone11, XS, and SE promos. picked XS and rep even advised I would be getting 14.58 monthly credits. Lucky this was text and i got the screenshot as proof. Hopefully they will be honoring otherwise will probably return.
Dont worry, you are in good hand. sounds like if they can't fix it, you'll get full credit at once & not sticking with this 24/months credit. at least I experienced 2x with my account...GL..

Is the "Family Stateside International" feature compatible with any of the newer plans or a better SOC? I had got it back when they offered it for $10 and I get International-calling on all my lines ...just wanted to check if anyone is in the same boat and has found out something better

$350 off the XS Max, not the XS right? I was only offered the 50% off SE deal.

How do you chat with customer service? I remember there was a chat option in the Contact Us page but I don't see it anymore.
You have to use the TM app to chat.

It's actually $200 off the SE, not really 50% off.

so my simple choice doesn't qualify for the iphone 11 trade in (got mixed messages repeatedly). It's already shipped and coming to me. Tforce is saying they're going to credit me $50 for all the trouble they caused. And offer me the iphone se at 50% off promo. I guess I'll do it, it's like paying for the iphone se for $150. But man, all the time and frustrations this whole thing is causing.
If you have it in writing that a rep said you qualify for the trade in, you can text 611 and there is a chance they honor the deal, Im on a similar boat with the iPhone xs and the rep honored the deal by giving me a 350$ adjustment for the phone

I've always purchased phones outright and have never done the credit thing.

Looking at the B1G1 deal where you get the second one with monthly service credits. Are you allowed to pay off the first phone early and just continue to get the credits for the second phone or are you required to keep both on EIP for the duration of the two years to continue to receive the credit?
Phones can be paid off at anytime, including the one thats getting the credits. The credits will stay for the 24 month duration.
