I wish there was data on this. Most likely you will have to pay taxes and fees for the "free" line.
Yes. If you pay taxes on your existing lines, you will have to pay taxes on this additional line.

Probably same restriction as Sprint Free Line On Us earlier promotion a few week back.

The monthly service plan charge for the line remains $0/mo. for the life of the line and requires you to keep *all* current phone lines on your account active through June 30, 2021. Any modifications to your account, such as cancelling an existing line, changing plans on your account or transferring lines to another account may make you ineligible to continue receiving the Unlimited Line On Us Plan.

So for a new customer signing up tomorrow on Magenta, would this be 3rd line on us AND a free 4th line, or is it a wash that 3rd line on us is replaced by this Free line?

Seems to favor current customers. Might consider grabbing new account today if it nets both extra lines

I was excited reading this deal until I saw the word "Exclusions". Damn T-Mobile for letting military people down on this deal.
Same here . Was hoping to get a free line too.

I've got two new SIM cards I took out of two new IPhone SE 2020s. Possible to use those to add a line and not pay extra?

Can we combine this with some of the phone deals that require you to add a line?

As long as the SIMs aren't activated, that should work.

Update: now someone here did a chat and the employee says more plans are available for the free line. wtf?

Ok, if your plan is not listed, call anyway. See what happens! The T Mobile website only gives three plan options. But chat says more.

"notes say .. you have to have a qualifying T-Mobile ONE, Simple Choice, Magenta, T-Mobile Essentials, or Business Unlimited rate plan.
simple choice is on there.
Pamela - 2:43 PM"

I never migrated to magenta or essentials. I'm still on ONE All-In-One which is showing a lot less than these upgraded plans available to me. Not worth it for me to pay more to upgrade the plan and then get a free line.

$10 for Sim, $20 for activation,
unless you can ask them to waive the activation fee too

They two SIM cards shipped inside the phones with out the usual snap out card. I just swapped in my old SIM cards on the new phones during the trade in.
