How dare they try to make a one-time $30 in exchange for giving you a FREE line, Mr. Entitled.

This weekend, T-Mobile is giving away a FREE VOICE LINE! Any T-Mobile plan is eligible (even Simple Choice). New customers need to have two paid lines to get the free line. Current customers with at least two paid lines can just add a free line.

***This is an EXTREMELY RARE No-Stipulation Line (like the free lines offered back in 2016 & 2017...)

If you're new to T-Mobile and you'd like to stack this to get the 4 lines for $120 on the Magenta plan, which comes with a free Netflix account, you'll need to go to T-Mobile today/tonight (Thursday, June 25th) to start/port a 3-line account on the Magenta plan. T-Mobile is currently running a 3rd line free. All 3 lines will be $120, which includes tax.

THEN....

Starting tomorrow, Friday, June 26th, you can add a 4th line to your plan for FREE! This will give you 4 lines on the T-Mobile Magenta plan, which comes with all taxes/fees, unlimited data and a free Netflix account, for $120. IF YOU ARE GOING TO DO THIS... GO TO T-MOBILE NOW TO START THE 3-LINE DEAL FIRST.... DO NOT SIGN UP FOR FOUR LINES THINKING THE 4TH LINE WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE FREE TOMORROW... IT WON'T. 3 lines TODAY, 1 line TOMORROW!

As always, start-up fees may or may not be charged, and can come to $10 per SIM and $20 per activation per line. Ask to see if any of these may be waived.

Details about the 4th line free will be on the website tomorrow (Friday, June 26th), but don't wait to start the first 3 lines today/tonight!

I think lip service. The system will have final say, so be prepared to drop the last line. Would love to be wrong, though.
I thought it was the same promotion too and I kept pressing her to check, but she insisted the discount is there. If not, I'll call back and remove it.

The autopay discount is separate.

Right now, you're getting $35 off for autopay at $5/line. That means you have 7 lines. Of those lines, you're getting 3 promotions: $10 off a 4th line, This One's on Us (free) and 2020 Line on Us (free).

If you added 2 lines this week, it means you started with 5. The 4th line $10 discount would have already been there. That means you were already paying for a 5th line and got two promos this weekend, one of which is named exactly the same as the 2017 free line offer (unlikely), or, you already had a completely free line (This One's on Us) and only got one credit from the two new lines you added.
Thanks for the reply (repped). I'm on a SC Family plan. I don't need the lines that were canceled. Even the "free" line was just a "nice to have", despite the $3-4 tax per month. I was told that they had to charge $10 for SIM and waived the $20 setup fee (don't know if I can believe that, either).

I should have just left the account alone. Every time I change something, they royally screw up things.

I contacted tforce and originally they said the (2nd) free line was added correctly and would indeed be free. I wanted clarification so I thanked them for offering two free line promotions consecutively. They checked the account further and confirmed that it is indeed one single promotion and only one line will be free. Just FYI.

Joshy's comment upthread describes why that may be the case. He's a stud! FWIW, I do everything with TForce on Twitter...removing the motivation to provide instant answers helps ensure accuracy. Cheers!

Yup. I think it is the same promotion. I just thought that I might get a chance since I only have one free line prior to this week and some people reported there are no free line limits. We'll see!

if your plan isn't eligible, can you sign up for a new account under another family member's name and then cancel the old plan?
Since you've asked twice with no answers...yes, this is possible, requiring a new account and credit check, but seems a bit more tedious (porting all those lines?) than simply asking TForce for a plan upgrade that can keep your current promos intact. You might end up paying more now, but securing the opportunity to get more promos later.

I just got off the phone with a Tmobile rep and she told me the discount does show up on her end. She told me she would put a note to make sure I will receive the credit for the free line today.
The discounts breakdown you posted earlier absolutely shows that you did not get 2 FREE lines since Friday 6/26. We're all (josh, alpha and I) are just trying to let you know so you can avoid the time wasted fighting Tmobile's backend billing system months down the road when you'll get charged for 1 of the 2 lines added since 6/26.

The only way you're getting 2 lines free is you will be wasting time calling/inquiring/bouncing from rep to rep to rep to rep to manually adjust the credit for the 2 free lines until you get so sick ... then maybe they'll do something after months of you chasing them down or maybe not and tell you that that line needs to be canceled. But guaranteed, the default backend billing system will reject 2 free lines if both were added since 6/26. Good luck

If you add this 3rd line between 6/26 and today, give it a shot by calling back and have them try adding the promo "2020 this line on us" your 3rd line thus making it free. But only if you add a line on/after 6/26/2020

Or when the two people family becomes more??? I mean its free.. Wait the only reason i grabbed it because I'm part of those NO Taxes plan.. if i had to pay tax for the free line i guess i would think twice about it.

thanks for clarifying. I actually didn't know about just upgrading the plan. that's really helpful.

how does it help with securing more promos later though?

That answer depends on how and why you cannot currently get existing promos. The .pdf list from the wiki indicates there are some common SOC codes that won't qualify, typically because they were already-discounted plans (military, 55+, etc.). By jettisoning these more restrictive plans, you can qualify for even better deals down the line.
