How dare they try to make a one-time $30 in exchange for giving you a FREE line, Mr. Entitled.

This weekend, T-Mobile is giving away a FREE VOICE LINE! Any T-Mobile plan is eligible (even Simple Choice). New customers need to have two paid lines to get the free line. Current customers with at least two paid lines can just add a free line.

***This is an EXTREMELY RARE No-Stipulation Line (like the free lines offered back in 2016 & 2017...)

If you're new to T-Mobile and you'd like to stack this to get the 4 lines for $120 on the Magenta plan, which comes with a free Netflix account, you'll need to go to T-Mobile today/tonight (Thursday, June 25th) to start/port a 3-line account on the Magenta plan. T-Mobile is currently running a 3rd line free. All 3 lines will be $120, which includes tax.

THEN....

Starting tomorrow, Friday, June 26th, you can add a 4th line to your plan for FREE! This will give you 4 lines on the T-Mobile Magenta plan, which comes with all taxes/fees, unlimited data and a free Netflix account, for $120. IF YOU ARE GOING TO DO THIS... GO TO T-MOBILE NOW TO START THE 3-LINE DEAL FIRST.... DO NOT SIGN UP FOR FOUR LINES THINKING THE 4TH LINE WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE FREE TOMORROW... IT WON'T. 3 lines TODAY, 1 line TOMORROW!

As always, start-up fees may or may not be charged, and can come to $10 per SIM and $20 per activation per line. Ask to see if any of these may be waived.

Details about the 4th line free will be on the website tomorrow (Friday, June 26th), but don't wait to start the first 3 lines today/tonight!

I just noticed you deleted your original comment. You had put you were on a Magenta plan, now I read your new comment. Only newer and current plans like Magenta and Essentials qualify for the XS. T-Mobile One and Simple Choice don't qualify.

So the rep is right, just that they didn't even explain that part. You need a qualifying plan.

"Which rate plans qualify for this iPhone offer?

Magenta®, Magenta® Plus, Essentials, Magenta® Unlimited 55, Magenta® Plus Unlimited 55, Magenta® First Responder, Magenta® Plus First Responder, Magenta® Military, and Magenta® Plus Military rate plans."

They are right as for you must have one of the following plan:

Magenta®, Magenta® Plus, Essentials, Magenta® Unlimited 55, Magenta® Plus Unlimited 55, Magenta® First Responder, Magenta® Plus First Responder, Magenta® Military and Magenta® Plus Military
When I saw that the Simple Choice was eligible for the free line, I gave them a call. I wasn't aware of "no line cancellations during the previous 90 days" clause, which I had. Part of the blame is on me for not reading the T&Cs fully. Lesson learned!

While adding the free line, the rep also mentioned that I was eligible for the iPhone XS 50% promo (which of course is incorrect, since not only SC plans don't qualify for that offer, I had line cancellations).

Anyways... after chatting with 611 about this, they're trying to figure out if they can credit $350 up front to give me the XS promo (I'll pay the full amount via EIP). They already credited $100 and waiting for approval for the remaining $250.

If they won't be able to credit the remaining $250, I'll be refusing delivery of the phone and will also cancel the "free" line. If that happens, I wonder what would happen to the $100 that they already credited.

Thought I was missing out on something like using this free line to snag a free or heavily discounted phone.

Thanks
You can buy iPhone 11 on us if you have something to trade and buy a number from third party to port in.
After you have the iPhone with EIP for 24 months wait for iPhone 12 have a good promotion then you have iPhone 11 for trade-in at that time. Invest now for future use.

Edit: also you can buy some of the flagship phone for 50% off and use as a trade in in the near future with value more than you original paid for.

Use Firefox
I did use Firefox,

- I go to https://www.t-mobile.com/home it immediately redirects to login page with different url.
- I initiate Web developer mode and got to Network
- I click on XHR - multiple columns appear, Status, Method, Domain, File, etc
- I click on the first row and and another section is displayed, where I click on "Response"
- I scroll through the response section to look for SocCode
- I keep going through each row in Network section and search in Response section but I don't see the SocCode

I repeat the above after I click on "Manage Account" on T-Mobile site, still could not find SocCode.

Thx for the suggestion. I looked up my SOC code and confirmed it's on the list and qualifies. Not sure why I got the cancellation text but at this point I'll assume all is fine...
Could you share what the amplified SOC code is?

I just told T-Force that I know it's been done. I was lucky that the guy I was dealing with knew what he was doing.

Is this add an extra line over yet?

All these comments have been about getting phones now. Not the success or failure of getting a free line.

There is no "honoring" the free line. You qualify or you don't. The system decides, and the system is final.

The best (although not easiest) way to tell is to find your plan SOC (instructions in the wiki). Once you have that, there's a link (also in the wiki) showing all the SOCs that qualify for the promo. If your SOC is on the list, you're good. If it's not, it's not going to be free, no matter what a rep tells you.
system aint the final. i had issues back in 2016 or 2017 when tmobile was giving out 2 free lines on us. there was a lot of debates just like this one now that some may get it and some wont. i've signed up and was confirmed by multiple rep that free 2 lines on us were valid on my account and system wouldnt stick the free credit for some reason. i had to contact rep to get credit adjusted manually on monthly basis and escalated the issues month after month till about 8 or 9 months later that free credits finally sticks in the system

I just realized that I should get discounted phone alone with this free line.
I just added free line yesterday (sim card hasn't shipped yet), but did not think about phone deal. Can I still get in for discounted phone?

They did a SOC change to the system to allow the credits to stick. Mine took 6 months and executive care, and many many unpaid hours on Twitter, and I can honestly say it is NOT worth the hassle. There will be more promos. The system still has the final say. Be it manual credits, or SOC change, there's not much else to tweak without opening up pandora's box. Either the promo terms apply to your SOC at the time frame referenced, or it doesn't. When it doesn't, find out why and make the much easier changes on your end (upgrade account).

Log into your account online and buy a phone. It will be covered as purchased during the promo period. Look out for the promo texts, usually when UPS ships.

So, even it is a free line, I think I still need to pay regulation/tax...fees for the free line. Even the rep told me over the phone that there is no additional charge for this free line, but I saw order email later indicates such required fees.

With my current SC plan, I think that is additional $5 per month. Not sure if it is really worth it if it simply sitting there without any usage.

My current plan has 6 lines: 2 base lines as the SC family plan + 3 paid line + 1 free line. Adding this promotion will be my 7th line. My only hope is that after one year when I am eligible to cancel a line, it will remove from the paid line not the free line. Any expert knows what would happen when I cancel a line later? TIA.
You are the reason why these types of promos eventually get taken away from us all... why in the world are you complaining about paying for the taxes & regulations on a free line? And why in the world would you sign up for a 7th line if you have no plans to use it?

I have the tmobile one plan with third line free offer back then. Can I get a fourth line added for free?
