This weekend, T-Mobile is giving away a FREE VOICE LINE! Any T-Mobile plan is eligible (even Simple Choice). New customers need to have two paid lines to get the free line. Current customers with at least two paid lines can just add a free line.

***This is an EXTREMELY RARE No-Stipulation Line (like the free lines offered back in 2016 & 2017...)

If you're new to T-Mobile and you'd like to stack this to get the 4 lines for $120 on the Magenta plan, which comes with a free Netflix account, you'll need to go to T-Mobile today/tonight (Thursday, June 25th) to start/port a 3-line account on the Magenta plan. T-Mobile is currently running a 3rd line free. All 3 lines will be $120, which includes tax.

THEN....

Starting tomorrow, Friday, June 26th, you can add a 4th line to your plan for FREE! This will give you 4 lines on the T-Mobile Magenta plan, which comes with all taxes/fees, unlimited data and a free Netflix account, for $120. IF YOU ARE GOING TO DO THIS... GO TO T-MOBILE NOW TO START THE 3-LINE DEAL FIRST.... DO NOT SIGN UP FOR FOUR LINES THINKING THE 4TH LINE WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE FREE TOMORROW... IT WON'T. 3 lines TODAY, 1 line TOMORROW!

As always, start-up fees may or may not be charged, and can come to $10 per SIM and $20 per activation per line. Ask to see if any of these may be waived.

Details about the 4th line free will be on the website tomorrow (Friday, June 26th), but don't wait to start the first 3 lines today/tonight!

Forgive me for not fully understanding, this is all new to me as I usually just buy my phones and never leased a phone with TMobile.

If I wanted to pay off my phone before 24 months, would I owe the $350 for the phone being half off? I suspect this is the issue, if paying off early means I pay full price well then shame on me.
I see... Yes, paying the phone off completely just guarantees you having a buyer. Some people (or most) will not buy a phone that is still locked to payments for the fear of it being blacklisted.
You would need to pay the phone in full, and receive the monthly bill credits to get back to half off.
You could also just pay what is owed on the phone, though you would need to sell it to someone that trusts you like a family member or a close friend.

What I have seen mentioned, is people meeting the buyer at a T-Mobile store, paying the seller, and the seller using that money to pay off the phone in person. Though because of Covid, not sure how that would work. I guess you could also meet in person, and just pay it yourself via the T-Mobile app. With this, essentially you don't need to pay off the phone out of pocket in full, just pay the difference.

Seem like is OK. As long as it's still in good condition, not tie to any payment (own it) ,
Make sure you have imei ready when you call and reset everything before ship it back.

Just to be save, before you do anything to your ip8,
Make a detail video of your phone cosmetic condition including operational of it incase of dispute.
Mail it back with tracking number and insurance.
Good points. Will do. Thank you.

I have the Simple Choice North America 6GB Family Match which includes the below. I just signed up for the extra free line and was wondering if I should switch to a different plan? Unlimited SMS & 128kbps data in 210+ countries
Overseas voice calling

$0.25/minute in Simple Global Countries.
Use your device in Mexico and Canada

Talk, texting, & up to 5GB 4 LTE Data
Gogo in-flight benefits

Wi-Fi calling
Unused data rollover

Up to 20GB Data Stash
Video streaming included with Binge On
Music streaming included with Music Freedom

Is anyone able to get a free line directly through T-Mobile and also do the Costco deal, or are they both the same promotion?

It doesn't sound like I do tbh. It says this under those categories....
HD video streaming

Optional with an HD Day Pass or T-Mobile ONE Plus.

Mobile hotspot

3G mobile hotspot included. Optional 4G high-speed data available.
Ok so you just have the basic plan and not one plus.

No, the free line added today is a regular T-Mobile ONE line, not a One Plus Promo line like the other lines. And I am fine with that, as I don't even use the free HD streaming or a 20gb hotspot on the other lines unless I'm on vacation, and we're likely not doing that any time soon due to the pandemic.
Yep true.

It is the same promotion. Only difference is at Costco you have to bring your own phone.

You are using a lot of DATA each month. 6GB now a day is low for most of the people.

Only major benefit I can see is 6GB and unlimited.
But if you sign up now , you get a Free Line and tax included with new plan.

You only lost major benefit is HD streaming. (BIngeOn)

For hotspot , you can use free line as a benefit.

Either Essential Plan for 90 plus tax Or Magenta for 120.included.

A little off topic, I signed up for Magenta plus last year and one of my four lines was free and they matched an AT&T discount.

Is there any way to get more discounts added to my plan? I just took advantage of this add a line, so I have this 5th line free but I do not have any other discounts that many of you folks seem to have.

I think I am going to return the OP8 5G phone today, I haven't opened it yet and I have no use for it. Can't see myself using that phone instead of my Pixel 4 XL, but I did want to test out 5G and finally use a OnePlus phone but I think I will wait till more 5G phones come out. Especially since I won't be going back to NYC for work for a while, don't really need 5G yet since working from home.

If I kept the OP8 5G and then decided to sell it, how does that work? Can I even do that if I pay off the balance of the phone before 24 months?

I also got OP 8 5G; pretty disappointed in 5G speeds as all I see it DL of <30 MBPS, and UL of 5 MBPS.. thinking of returning as well..

I wonder if this $100 rebate for adding a line would also stack with iPhone se half price deal? I also see Costco is giving a $60 gift card with purchase of a iPhone se in club.

They have the Unlimited data promo add-on, and they already went ahead and got the free line.

I have the same one. Mine shows up as a $0.0 additional line, but with 2.5 gb data. That is because my plan was originally a 4 lines for 10 gb with each line having 2gb. They got upgraded to 4gb in a recent promo tmo had. So it looks like they messed up your add on. May be it will correct itself, but i would talk to them and get it fixed. it should show a 2.5gb data plan for %0.
I am on same simple choice plan and see 2.5GB for new line while all other lines has 4GB. So no way we get 4GB on new line?

I'm paying $190 for 8 lines now on SC 10GB Plan, 2 Lines on Us Promo and 2020 Free Line on Us Promo ( 3 Free lines ). Basically paying like $23 for each line after this recen promotion.

I'm considering switching to Magenta Plan so I can get qualify for most of T-mobile Phone Promo and with Autpay discount, maybe it is worth it. I don't know.

Do they keep your Free line once you switched plan? I prefer not to pay more than what I'm paying now. I just thought that it will be cheaper since some SD'ers have a better monthly plan than I have.

There's an old plan with SocCode "NAFUTT" which qualifies for the free line. It's 2/$80, each additional line is $10... however I don't remember how much data is offered on that line, it might require $$ for a bigger data add-on.

Another thing is, if you want to sidestep to another grandfathered plan, you'll have to play rep roulette all day today. And since today is the last day of this promo, response times might be even longer. I was "fortunate" enough to sidestep to a plan last week, it took a lot of effort and hours.

Honestly, your plan is pretty good, I would just stick with it.

EDIT: For some reason I thought you wanted to potentially move to a grandfathered plan, my mistake for assuming that. If you don't care about hotspot or HD streaming, then the Magenta plan could be your go to. I believe it's $80 or so for 2 lines (with autopay), plus that free line on us. Taxes and fees are included.

If you did the math and think you can save more on the Magenta plan then go for it. Things you will lose is the 10 GB hotspot (downgraded to 3 GB), and no HD streaming.

EDIT: You might need to ask customer care if you can transfer the free lines, but I'm nearly certain you won't be able to (though doesn't hurt to ask). I know if you have the One plan, you can.
