Good size, good price, name brand. Only 2 HDMI which is curious, but I have an AVR so no big. No local dimming. Only 60hz, while doesn't matter for 4k, 120hz at 1080p/1440p would have been nice to play with on PC gaming.
I hate that Rtings doesn't have reviews for a bunch of newish models including this one.
So it's a budget model Samsung in a big package. Would probably be just fine for most.
I think go with series 8 for 999 with 5 years warranty on Costco is better
Note: if somebody say costco or Best Buy just go to Costco or bestbuy website and check you don't have to ask for the link search it for your self thanks
Here's a guide to buying Samsung TVs. Always buy the previous year model. Every year they have cut features, downgraded their lineup, reduced performance.

Yes. I have the NU8000 and the RU8000 was considered to be worse and the TU8000 is considered to be even worse. The T series is a successor in number only. The TU8000 is closer features and performance wise to the RU7100.
I have had many (3) Samsung budget TV's. Point of the story is the OS/smart side is glitchy as all hell. I'll usually play stuff through chrome, or ps4. Just throwing that out there but maybe they have gotten better.
I got my 65 Samsung tv from costco 6 yrs ago. Paid $1850. Plus the 5yr warranty for $99. The tv broke down every year under warranty. Best $99 bucks i ever spent. Out of warranty now and will not die. Price of TVs today and the future my not be worth the cost of the warranty.
Never, ever, and ever recommend "paying" for an extended warranty to others. That's just mean as hell. You are telling others to just throw money away.
Except in his story, the extended warranty saved him multiple times.

That person has likely not used the Costco warranty. Its one of the best and easiest to use when needed. $100 insurance for 5 years on a TV that costs close to 2 grand is a no brainer. It comes down to who is backing the warranty.
