The product is definitely runnier than usual and has a stale liquor smell, but not nearly as bad as the Equate one.
I called Germ-X's manufacturer to get some insight and hoping they will call me back soon. Amazon offered a refund, but I would put a red flag on this stuff..especially with CDC sayings some of the knockoff brands are sending people to the hospital.
I've ordered two for my household and three more for others. I did not notice much difference. I've never had sealed hand sanitizer. They have all come simply capped for as long as I can remember. I think people are mis-remembering. For example, with ones with pumps can't have an internal seal and if you look at the photos, there is no external one.
I've had one bottle bust open during shipment. it was a loose cap. Amazon refunded me.
As for someone's beef with inactive ingredients. That is, 'water'. The FDA only requires listing the quantities of active ingredients. For inactive ingredients they should be listed in alphabetical order for normal OTC drugs.
For drugs that are also cosmetics, the inactive ingredients should be listed in order of quantity.
The bottle on the left has a direct form of vitamin E and a agent to help the skin absorb it. Thus, has cosmetic benefits. Poster received a bottle of Moisturizing with vitamin E vs simply Moisturizing. So, it changed the order of water in the list, not the quantity in any measure.
Please are just in freak out mode.

Yeah I also received mine yesterday. Doesn't smell as good as regular sanitizer from before quarantine, but not as bad as my Equate 60 oz.
There were some loose caps, but luckily not a lot of spillage.
I'm thinking I should return my Equate to Walmart? Are they requiring people to send it back?
