For those interested, I trail run ~100 mi a month in Colorado. I have the male variant, but regardless, these are great shoes. They have middle-ground soles, which is to say, the lugs are not so pronounced they are for mud or too smooth to be intended for road. Colorado's trails are rocky and dusty and these hold great traction on rock and have good performance on the dirt. The cushion is also excellent, but also note, trail runners have a stiffer underfoot than road runners due to the need for less flex when jumping off rock and preventing edges from injuring the bottom of your feet. I believe these have Salomon's inner "sock", which helps with reducing hot spots (I get none when I run). Some people don't like the drawstring laces because the lace lock can loosen over a long run, but I love them. I can slip in my feet quickly and I won't have laces dangling and flopping about the shoe (they never come untied). Salomon used to make the quickdraw laces out of kevlar (I'm not sure if these are) and my old trail runners would outlast the kevlar laces!! Lastly, Salomon shoes tend to be best for narrow feet, which mine are. I love 'em.
