Two main problem with this antenna. First, it may not fit your TV if it is the older thicker LCD as it needs to be mount on the top edge. Second, the mounting restricts the positioning of the antenna. Even it is omni directional, the position does make a big difference as there may be obstruction and interference right on top of your TV.
I am in a city next to a tall high rise, with all of the broadcast towers positioned out in the suburbs. Reception is not easy. What works best for me are the old oversized VHF/UHF combo rabbit ears, but these full size ones are no longer easy to find new.
New-style flat amplified antennas and modern small amplified antennas do almost as well, but the big difference is these amplified antennas go blank with every large truck that passes below. I can tell the size of the truck by the length of the blackout.
