This does not qualify for the LSA. Batteries are only covered when they come in a kit with a tool or charger. This is only 3 year warranty

Agree with all of above. My 9Ah batteries, each bundled with charger so lsa covered, cost me $70 and $100.

On the flip side though, i feel like the ridgid deals have been steadily watered down over the last year. Not sure if that's a temporqry trend or the new normal

Never heard of Bluetooth on a battery before, it's actually pretty stinking cool what they are doing with it.

To those that have this or are getting this, when would you need such a big battery? I'm thinking about getting one, but not sure when I'd use it.

Sawzall, skilsaw, blower, impact wrench, shopvac, compressor, SDS rotohammer...

Otherwise, yeah, seems like a bit overkill...

LED stand light so I don't have to switch batteries in the middle of a project at night.

A blower can go through a 5.0Ah battery in 15 minutes. For most home users for rotating tools, 9Ah is probably a bit of overkill. That's why the most popular sizes for most tools are between 2-6Ah. My mid-torque impact wrench can last pretty much any job I would do at home on my car on a 2.0Ah battery, much less the 5.0Ah battery I have for it.

I use it in the fan and for lights. It last all night and half the day in the fan when camping. It is pretty big and bulky with most small hand tools. Although it does come in handy in the drill when boring out a lot of big holes or in the recip saw doing lots of demo. But usually it is easier to just use two 4 or 5ah batteries.

PLEASE READ THIS!!!!!! The SD Offer indicates a Lifetime warranty. INCORRECT. No stand alone Ridgid battery has more than a 3 year warranty. Lifetime ONLY applies to batteries that come in a "kit". Also, see the HD website ad. Clearly states "2-year" warranty.

This huge of a battery has MANY great applications, such as but not limited to... the power hungry circular saw, and it'll last a really long time on the monster 1/2" torque wrench, plus could you imagine how long it would run on one of their flashlights if the power went out and it was dark outside.

I got 2 of these 9Ah batteries, this is a GREAT deal.
