Samsung - Galaxy S20 5G UW 128GB - Various Colors (Verizon) - Best Buy $500

$500.00
+8 Deal Score

This is the best deal I've seen on a Samsung Galaxy S20 for Verizon without requiring a trade-in or new line of service.

The $1000 list price is cut in half to $500 over 24 monthly installments, reduced from $41.67 to $20.83 per month.

$350 of the discount is an instant upfront reduction. The remaining $150 comes off as 24 equal monthly bill credits.

If this was a regular S20, it'd be one heck of a deal. But it's the "Version and Samsung got cheap" version and doesn't come with the SD slot or 12GB of RAM (only 8). But considering the prices we've seen on phones lately, it's still a good deal I think.

I'm seeing the negative votes on this deal and I understand that this is the dumbed down s20. The negative reviews are for the SD card and Ram (people being surprised and angry).

But what phone can I get for 500 that's better than this without a plan upgrade? I am coming from a Pixel 1 which still works fine except for the Google battery drain update which can only get 20 min of screen time onna charge. So I desperately need a phone and have been holding out. I need decent battery life and waterproof. Can I hope for a better deal on something?

I would snag this deal even with the gimpedness if it worked on tmobile with all the bands. Or well I would at least consider it.

I get hating on what they did with this version but come on... $500 is an excellent deal. My S9 has 4 GB of ram and the S10 has 8 GB which is the same here. Think of it like building a laptop, this version is $500 and you could upgrade to 12 GB ram and add an SD slot for minimum $250 more (based on current deals). For a lot of people $500 would be a no brainer.

Strongly considering this and almost missed it because of the negative votes. Thanks OP.

Yeah this is a solid deal. But they were offering $250 trade-in for s7 edge on the Samsung site. Strongly considering.

Thanks for posting, good price and I bit. The model does make some compromises which I personally find annoying they are there but ultimately not a big deal. Unfortunately... and this isn't unique to this deal, just a problem with Verizon upgrades in general, you get hit a BS $40 upgrade fee and sales tax on phone. So that's another $100 or so...

would this dumbed down version be much of an upgrade to a S9+?

I held on for 4 years to my pixel 1 and if it wasn't for Google's forced murder of the battery with their famous update from last year, I'd still be fine with it for my needs.

If your battery is still decent and you're happy with the overall responsiveness of the phone and picture quality, I'd wait longer. I ended up getting an s20+ yesterday from best buy (same instant 350 off plus 6.25 credits for 24 months) for a net 700. I also got another approx 100 off due to my employer's discount with Verizon. Its only been 24 hours and so far so good. But it won't make my life better, and thats coming from a 4 year old phone.

The battery is a problem but honestly it's being masked by the fact that I don't leave the house anymore for work or the gym so I am always near a charger.
