Dang it, Lowe's just had the other soil for $2.50 per a whole cubic foot.
Is this stuff better? And worth the extra cost?
Need some soil

Some people don't need that much and have no desire to store extra soil.

I would avoid this. bought a bag 2 weeks back and it had pieces of plastic and glass. Not the quality I expected from a premium brand. Many other reviewers also had posted similar experiences.

I dont know if Miracle Grow is one of them but many (most?) mulch, soil, sand, stone, concrete, etc bags are actually made by random local companies that license the brand name (or are contracted by the brand to do it). That's why the reviews and experiences can vary so widely. I bought a larger bag of this soil from HD the other day and it was fine, good stuff. Same with the Scott's triple shred mulch from lowes, reviews are very mixed but whoever makes it around here, it is good stuff.

Bear in mind one ingredient in this and most bagged soil is compost, and most of that is decomposed yard waste they collect from homes (waste management sells it to them around here) so if people mix in trash, some small pieces are bound to make it through their filters and screens, but they do a pretty good job of it here, only the occasional piece.

The quality also depends on In Ground Use or Pots Use. The In Ground is the bottom of their quality so you will find junk debris all the time. I recommend Pots one even if it is for Ground use. Less junk in it.
