There is a correction , it comes with 4ah battery but the XR series destroys anything out there for battery power which is supposed to last

XR on the tool refers to the motors being brushless which are more efficient and that equals better battery life. The XR line of batteries according to DeWalt last 33% longer than the 20v "max" line of batteries of the same size.

The XR line of batteries according to DeWalt last 33% longer than the 20v "max" line of batteries of the same size. "Wrong" the XR and MAX are the same battery. DeWalt is dropping the XR battery line. Now you will only see max and flexvolt and standard 1.5v

Either way the tool is brushless and will last 33% longer battery life using this battery. The tool will also last longer than the regular 20v

Good deal even with the 4AH, very good with a 5 AH. The compact is often viewed as superior to the regular one in the 20 volt. Of course that can be subjective...

They also have the full size with a "flat" 4 AH battery for $129.00 Now that's a deal... No charger, but I'm at the point with so many chargers where that is NOT an issue.

I have one of these, i use it for cutting firewood while camping. it eats batteries fast. I can easily use 2 4ah batteries over a weekend
