I saw that they have Monarch 5 8 x 42 back, so purchased it already. Seems they added few more other types as well since I first posted this.

I purchased the Nikon Monarch HD 10x42 and it's brand new, except replacing the retail box with a white box, nothing feels "refurbished" about it. Personal take, get the Monarch 7 if you'll appreciate quality optics at this price difference. Get the 8x42 if you're older and may appreciate more stability if hand holding.
