Hmm, but the reviews on the website are good (4.4 out of 5). Is it something an one off case? Also, there is a 2 year manufacturer's warranty on parts and labor. Did you try that route?

have you seen any bad reviews on anything on bestbuy.com?

this bella is as bad as rosewill brand. i am fine with the brand. just dont slap the "pro series" labels on their already gabage name.

dont buy. the handle is made out of cheap plastic with chrome paint. you need to press very hard on it to keep it stay down.

My toaster quit recently and I was going to buy a different one from best buy. In reading reviews for lots of toasters under $30, I found that most had poor reviews. Many for stupid things like a chemical smell the first few times. Others said theirs died within the first few months.

In reading Best Buys return policy, its just 15 days. So I determined that walmarts 90 days would be my best bet. Any problems & an easy in store return. I went with a MainStays which is walmarts brand. A 4 slice for $16.88. I did not want to drive 25 minutes to the store that had one so I bought other stuff to get free shipping at $35.

I ran both sides twice to get rid of the chemical smell. So far, it seems fine. My other option was a 2 slice Hamilton Beach for $14.96.

Almost all toasters have some bad reviews but most have 75-80% 4 and 5 star reviews. So I determined that a longer return period was more valuable than a few whiners who expect a $15-20 toaster to be perfect.

Most all have 1-2 year warranty periods and apparently none of the whiners bothered calling the 800 numbers.

Here are the 2 I considered. The mainstays has 2 links for the same toaster. They are sold out nationally but a local store has 2 in stock. YMMV.

My thinking was for just $2 more, I might as well get the larger one so if 10-12 years from now one quits working the other side might still work.

If you do buy from walmart, make sure the seller is walmart, not someone else. Otherwise you won't get 90 day in store returns.
