Seems to be chemical decaf, not water process, if that matters to you...

Yup, this ranks right up there with drinking non alcoholic beer.

Right there with you. The only reason I drink coffee is to keep me focused at work after staying up all night. Good price, but I have no use for bitter bean-water that doesn't help me stay awake.

Ordered four for late night cold brew, which uses massive quantities of beans.

I don't particularly like the quality of NE but I would try it again at this price if it was caffeinated.

I like to make it just so I can pour it over a full cup of ice. It varies for taste, but it it will be +-6:1, which is much more concentrated (and wasteful) than the standard 16:1 for hot brew. In addition to taking almost a day to brew, this is why retail cold brews are $5 a cup. So this whole bag of coffee would only make about 10 small cups of 6 oz, not including ice.

Bought the caffeinated version last time on sale and it is flavorless in my opinion, tossed half a bag. TJ's Joe at $3.49 or $3.99 has better flavor, and TJs Colombian is a step up from that. Had 'em all here at the same time and that was my experience.

Grind size is also important with cold brew. If you want a smoother cuppa, go with a coarse grind, and if you want it basically like cold coffee, then go with a smaller grind size. I am not really a coffee snob, so I currently drink Cusa Cold Brew, which is brand new. It's considered the best instant cold brew on the market, and it saves me tons of time. However, I used to brew 4:1 and used a nut bag (actual name because it's also used to make nut milks) using coarse grind and letting it brew at room temp for 18 hours. 4:1 is strong, but I add a large ice cube and splash milk over it.
