Product Name: | Spyderco Native 5 Lightweight BlackBlade SpyderEdge C41SBBK5 |
Product Description: | Spyderco's black-bladed Native Lightweight has long been the cutting tool of choice of savvy tactical knife users. With the introduction of the fifth-generation Native 5, however, that bar has just been raised. The black-bladed Native 5 Lightweight combines all the improvements that define this advanced design with the ultra-lightweight advantages of an injection-molded fiberglass-reinforced-nylon handle and a low-profile black finish on the blade and other metal hardware. The knife's full-flat-ground blade is machined from niobium-enriched CPM S35VN powder metallurgy stainless-steel and is cloaked in a durable, non-reflective Diamond-Like Carbon coating. For maximum cutting performance, it has a fully serrated SpyderEdge. An improved back lock mechanism-one of the defining features of the Native 5 design-locks the blade securely in the open position. The lock is housed in a liner-less FRN handle with a deeply molded Bi-Directional Texturing pattern for maximum grip security. |

Of the dozen or so knives I've enjoyed for EDC, I only endorse as a fail safe options at two different price points:
Spyderco Paramilitary 2
Kershaw Skyline

I still use both my work sharps for different outdoor knives or when friends want sharp knives quick but I am considering switching all of my personal knives to stones. (It is going to take a lot of work to get the bevel out the worksharp puts on).
Oh man I bought a couple from that sale. It was ridiculous. Delicas for $21 and Para2 for $45 iirc.
