Good case, if you have a psu sized like the evga 1000w g2 it'll be a very tight fit if using the hard drive tray. Only reason to use the tray for me was for a 3.5in hdd, if you have an m.2 or 2.5in ssd you have other mounting options.

If not using the tray you'll have boat loads of room. It's extremely tight with the tray though.

Great case!

Nice, i paid $85 + $13 shipping this time last month. This is the only modern case (well 2017) that doesnt have the tempered glass side. I dont feel like shattering it in 2 years with a slip of a screwdriver etc.

Fractal Design cases are some of the best-designed cases around (if not THE best). Not sure about this exact model, but I highly recommend FD computer cases.

P.S. This is a non-shilled comment; just a nerd that loves well-built components and the SD community Smilie

Thanks sr71. Note it's $83 total given the added shipping.

It's been roughly around $80 for a case but affordable quality cases are hard to find right now, which is evident when you see the amount of people viewing this thread. Thumbs up.

Definitely useful, but how many people are using 1000w PSUs and budget/midrange cases? I imagine it's a smaller number than 2080Ti purchases.

I have this case and I love it. It was only my second PC build so I don't have many points of comparison, but it was a very affordable case with the features I was looking for.

I have the version with the glass side panel. I love it and recommend their computer cases. I paid $90 and wouldn't hesitate buying a case from them on my next build.
When I first put my build together, I didn't even notice that the side behind the motherboard has straps and slots to hide the cables. That's what I get for not looking at the manual first.

Is this considered one of the best sub $100 cases? Looking for dust filtering, cooling, and noise reduction (in that order of importance)

I bought the define r5 all black last night off amazon for $140. I need lots of room for hard drives. How does this compare?

This is probably overkill for a Ryzen APU build, right?

Case and CPU isn't really correlated. I'm guessing you're asking whether this case is overkill for a very budget build? I wouldn't say so. Consider that even the cheapest quality cases are about $50+ shipped, you're only paying about $30 more for a high quality case. Something to keep in mind is that, unlike most other computer components, cases don't become obsolete for a very long time. You can use a good quality case for multiple builds. Fractal Design cases in particular have a "timeless" style because of their understated design.
