You can tune these to 16-21-21-42 @ 1.4v if you are comfortable doing it through DRAM calc.

I recommend using Thaiphoon and export xmp profile to dram calc. Inputting the values myself gave me too tight of a timing causing boot problems.

Well you are lucky then. The pair I got last week from the $64 deal was very bad, at XMP barely performs on par with my 3000 CL14 Microns. 3700x + b450i Stix. And after many many combos I wasn't able to tighten CL to 17 without lowering speed, at 1.46v.

Friendly reminder to my fellow bargain hunters, there are many versions of "Vengeance LPX 3600 CL18" sticks out there and not all Samsung b dies are created equal. And good luck!

It's probably your b450, I have only been able to get gskills neo 3600 cl 16 to 3200 cl 16. I believe the x550 /x570 does much better with ram.

Have been looking for DDR3L ram forever. And prices are going up?!?!

Anyone have suggestions on where to snag a 2x8GB DDR3L SO-DIMM kit?

Like i said, there are multiple versions of LPX 3600. I'm attaching the Thaiphoon Burner extract, from the pair I purchased last week, most likely the same batch. B die.

Yea that could be the case. Although i'm using an ITX board which theoretically is as good as it gets for RAM overclocking and i'm having a really easy time with my other sticks. Most likely just bad luck with the pair of Vengeance I got. Learned so much about minor adjustments you can do after spending one weekend OC it Wink

DDR3 is gradually being phased out for DDR4, so I suspect prices are going to trend upwards as suppliers switch over. Note how expensive DDR2 is today (if you can find it).

EDIT: And it's not like DDR3L is all that expensive. 2x8GB is only about $60 if you're not too picky about brand. Example [amazon.com]. Or a faster set for $10 more [newegg.com].
