Why would you think it would be 4x? It's always 1 point for $1 spent.

No he's talking about fuel VIP for $40 a year you get double the points on purchases so technically you would get 4x points on purchases but it's only 3x points

I've boycotted kroger since that scam. I will never shop there again.
Well I get it but to be honest the real perk of being fuel VIP is the bonus coupons you get free stuff monthly or the bonus 200 points when you buy a gift card ( $10-$15 ) . I was getting them previously but noticed a nice uptick once I paid for fuel VIP. It's definitely not worth $40 unless you are taking advantage of bonus coupons and extra free items. Double the points doesn't really do much for grocery purchases at most VIP should be $20 not $40 !
I used the hell out of the program when they'd run their 5x gas points on Visa GC promos, buying with CC (getting 5 points too), then liquidating with Bluebird. I got more than $1k in free gas that way in just one summer. Then they changed the program, as I said, cutting how much gas you could get at a fill up. At the same time Bluebird died, and since S&S is so expensive anyway, I don't shop there.
