It depends on what you use it for. Sony is very good with upscaling and c9 is good for gaming. For movies and general content Sony a9 is very good. Again that doesn't justify such a big price difference. But depending on the use case I would go with either and not just based on price.

Its worth the difference if you are using the TV for mostly movies
The picture processing of this TV combined with the OLED black levels is amazing

"Your total will be $4599 or $2449 with free shipping once your offer is accepted."

What does this mean? You mean for the 65" and 77" with tax?

Tempting but with Vizios OLED line being released this fall I may wait.

Audio (in screen speakers) should be better, and you have slightly more premium design / build quality / movie picture processing / brand vs the C9 I think. Not suggesting one vs the other, just pointing out differences. For gaming C9 is the clear winner (disclosure, I'm waiting for my C9 to arrive - also ordered through Greentoe).

A very good review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4bnf72NR2NU

Vizio versus Sony upscaling/picture processing
If Sony remains superior over Vizio like it has done in the last no need to wait....if this TV is in your budget

No doubt the Vizio will be cheaper though

It's a hard call. I'm in the same boat. And if a like-for-like is $1k+ difference (with a slight difference in upscaling). I will opt for Vizio.

Currently...there is more than a slight different in Vizio's and top of line Sony Tv's in regards to upscaling

The more and more companies that start offering OLED, like Vizio eventually, this will drive prices down across the board. If you don't need it now, better off waiting

Everyone is using LG OLED panels (including Sony and Vizio), so don't expect much drop.

Vizio also doesn't have a 77" version.

The market is pretty saturated already with three brands making OLEDs from LG panels

I also hear that LG is not making money on their OLED panels at this time...so dont expect the mass price drops
There will be trickles but not mass drops like there were 3-4 years ago

Waiting for a deal on a Sony 65" OLED. They are hard to come by. From my research, Sony is great at upscaling, motion rendering and color accuracy. LG is better for gaming and cheaper. Does anyone knows if the Master Series OLED like this have eARC?
