Are these the originals with bad thermals and or are they the ones with the fixed thermal pads?

Edit: Should also note that MSI is sloooooow on the rebates. It took me almost a year to get a $10 rebate off a motherboard.

Do you think this would drop by end of summer/year? I am looking to get a razer core x for my macbook pro and trying to keep costs as low as possible.

Mainly use it for video editing/bootcamp gaming.

Probably...? Both Big Navi and Ampere are just around the corner. I don't expect Nvidia cards to go down in price, but AMD cards probably will.

newegg sold out of these several times since Aug/Sept 2019 so anyone looking at the old reviews is reading old news

It's been like 9 months since the fix. I HIGHLY doubt you'd have to worry about that anymore.
