20" Old Fiero 7 Lbs. 3 oz - New Omni 6 Lbs 2 oz
24" Old Fiero 8 Lbs. 14 oz - New Omni 8 Lbs 2 oz
28" Old Fiero 10 Lbs. 12 oz - New Omni 10 Lbs 6 oz
The 28" is 10Lb, which may be a bit heavy for some but for those like me that don't travel often these bags are great for the price.
Sturdy as a tank. Largely scratch and scuff resistant. It's got a bit of a rough/sandpapery exterior, but I think that lends itself to the ruggedness.
Just snagged a Weekender from eBags for $40 and already have a 28" Samsonite. Otherwise I would be heavily tempted by this.

That's really comparing apples to oranges here. Different brand and different material.

Also the tiny wheels meant it struggled on basically any surface, airport or otherwise. It would sink into carpet, get caught in any types of dips (like the space between sidewalk plates) or bumps (like those platforms to warn blind people). About the only surface it works fine on was flat, solid surfaces (those large tiles are about as non-flat as you can get).
Can't speak for the larger sizes, my experience was just with the carry on. I replaced mine with a cheap American Tourister with dual, larger wheels (similar to the Samsonite FrameLock Hardside Spinner) and it also has handles on the top, bottom and sides.
