I got these the last time posted on slick deals and one snapped in the wood 5th time I used it. I don't think they are made to last unfortunately.
Looking at most recent reviews on amzn show a trend of complaints about wobbly bits and the like. Not sure if a bad recent batch or run but I'll hold off for now. Darn. Thanks for sharing, still!
$10 cheaper than lowes and home depot good deal op! I'm on the fence of do I really need this or do I slick deals need this.

I had the same experience. They seem to snap very easily.

You can replace the countersink part with normal drill bits...

It won't work as effective since they're conical so if you insert smaller bit it will be off center and clog with material between bit and countersink part. Using bit that fills the hole would end up making bigger than desired hole since the point will be as thick as rest of bit and reduces grip of the screw in material/wood.
These on rare occasions can be in sale at Ace Hardware @10, when they were that price I got like 5 packs, even as spare bits it was worth it IMO. I usually used them for making holes to connect cabinets but HD and Lowe's now I think has GRK trim and cabinet screws that can go through wood without splitting so I use these bits a lot less often as I used to.

Based on the reviews in Amazon, these are apparently non returnable. Some people had good luck getting their money back by calling customer service. Last I checked Amazon was using the Covid-19 as excuse to completely shut down their customer support. I am not sure if it is open now. If they are still not open (I have a feeling Amazon will close that permanently coz of the greed to make more money and pay zero in tax) you will be stuck with junk with no way to get your money back. I have the FTG set which is crappy as well and one of them broke hence looking for a replacement. I was excited to see Dewalt on sale but after reading the reviews I am not buying this. Someone please suggest if there is a good brand (yes, I spent sometime googling could not find any decent ones). I would buy even if they are expensive. I like to invest in good long lasting tools rather than buying the use and throw junk.
