What is considered "Geek Squad Certified Refurbished" airpods, they sure as hell can't be replacing the battery so are these just like open box ones, where someone buys and doesn't like it and returns it? I bought the orginal airpods GEN 1 when they came out and now the battery will not keep a charge for more then 30 mintues or so. I need new a pair. Apple would like to charge me the price of wireless GEN 2 ($150ish) and was told I would get brand new GEN 1 replacement and would not get the charging case either since only the earpods on messed up. Insane!!
Well, I rolled the dice on these... and got burned.
The box is for the wireless case Airpods, but conveniently the area with the serial number was marked out with a sharpie before Best Buy's enormous sticker was placed on it.
Inside was a set of regular Gen 2 Airpods, as confirmed by putting the serial number from the Airpod case into Apple's site, not the Wireless Charging set. Sigh.
Back to Best Buy they go... hopefully they don't accuse me of doing what the previous owners did.

Looks brand new from inside and outside. No mark of any use.
109 for new one with 1 year warranty seems good deal that too with wireless charging case
