Furthermore, Otterbox cases are notorious for being counterfeited (just search on google for "fake Otterbox" and you'll find many results), so you shouldn't buy from unauthorized third-party websites, like eBay, regardless. An Otterbox commuter for the iPhone 11 usually go for 32-40 dollars, so a cheap case on eBay should make you suspicious. The price is too good to be true.

Nice deal, and I like the particular shade of turquoise as well, but this is nowhere close to being compact - extra-rugged or not. This adds a considerable amount of bulk and heft to an already large phone, so please keep that in mind while buying.

Just a YMMV, but many Walmarts are liquidating this exact phone case for $1 in store, so it might be worth it to do a quick run to the electronics clearance area.

yea the molding quality on fakes isn't quite as precise, good enough to fool many though, so yea, beware.

Highly recommend Otterbox Commuter cases. It's smaller than the Defender and more rugged than any 3rd party case I've used. The rubber on the inside with the hard plastic shell is the perfect combination in my eyes. Rubber won't scratch your phone like hard plastic will and the hard plastic on the outside is better for getting in and out of your pocket.

I wouldn't buy any Otterbox cases in Amazon or eBay unless they are sold by Otterbox directly, and not even from FBA as they commingled their products with 3rd party merchants.

Cell phone cases are one of the most heavily counterfeit items ever.

Walmart sell various Otterbox cases on sale sometimes for 10$ or less (YMMV). I often see them on clearance in my local store (samsung & iphone cases mostly). So obviously it then later resold on ebay, but it doesn't mean it all counterfeit. However overall I agree, buyers should be careful buying from third party sellers, but I think it can be related to any type of product.
