Found 2 of these LED Mat Lights in the clearance section for $50 at my local HD. Normal price for this is $100 and runs for $80 on Amazon. Associate was just marking it down as I got there.

Brickseek shows many in stock around my area.

Kind of a neat concept, but who in the world was spending $100 on this thing?

This is a good deal. I picked it up a couple of weeks ago at $50.

This light comes with the newest portable power source. Unfortunately it only charges at 5w (5v * 1amp) The older version of the power source found in other kits charges twice as fast

1500 portable lumens that operates off a battery is a no brainier for 50. They ask more for 500+ lumen headlamps for gods sake

If you're in the Ridgid ecosystem you should try and find one

I was going to pick one up until I saw a decent amount of stock around me. I will try to wait it out until the next clearance price drop.

Wish the 3 panel ridgid would come down in price. That one also has a AC outlet. This one seems geared towards working on vehicles

i bought the panel light a while back during one of those "buy this set, get this bare tool free", return the set (or don't pick it up) and 40% off. it's a fantastic light, i use it all the time. mostly for working on stuff outside after the sun goes down. it's amazing how well it lights up an area so i can keep working on a new structure or leveling an area.

fwiw, i also have the light cannon. that thing is amazingly bright and focused as well... it's like a damn car headlight, actually a bit brighter than the new non-HID lights on my new car Stick Out Tongue

Is the cannon more of a spot light or does it also light up a large area? I was hoping this one would work similar to the 3 panel but not sure it will. Needed it to get done work done in my back yard after sun sets as well.

Brickseek said 4 in stock, Home Depot's computer system said 4 in stock. Multiple employees assisted in the search but we couldn't find them anywhere (normal location, clearance area, or high up in overflow stock area). Such is the result for most Clearance products at all the Home Depots near me.

I have about 5 HD within 8 miles of eachother and they were all accurate in their stock except for one that showed 2 but had none.

It's more of a spot. You would have to come up with some way to diffuse the light to use it as a worklight. For what it's worth, if you aim it at a light colored ceiling it will light the room up like daytime.

How much you scoop that up for? It's on my list, but not at regular retail price.

the cannon is a spot light, think car headlight. it'll light up my backyard and into the woods very well, if you have it back far enough... the panel i use more for working in an area though. this mat seems nice, but yeah it's not the panel at all. i'd like to have one for working on the cars in the driveway though, it'd be awesome for that.
