Not sure if this is a baby powder. You may want to check it this can be safely used on a baby since inadvertently this will get inhaled while applying
I use it for the same purpose and I love it. It works well. It's better than baby powder, though. It doesn't contain talc and it doesn't clump up like baby powder.

Just like with protein powders, any sort of powder is going to settle and compact. Have to go off weight, not sight.
